Where to start

1980 mk2 popular plus in nordic blue but no popular plus no more .
Converted to c20xe ( Redtop ) 2. 0 16v using all brand new parts . I have done a few shows since being built and won a great trophy at wheels day which was top 10 out of a very good field of cars . Car is ultra reliable and has been great fun . never gets hot is happy at all speeds if not a little loud :) that being said if you dont like attention and or looking for a quite cruiser this is not the car for you . With its weber 45's and full ashley system this escort is loud and proud and certainly surprises alot of modern cars . Im only selling due to wanting to buy an american yank tank otherwise would keep this . I will list up the parts and please bare in mind these parts were all new around 6 months ago and the car has only done around 300 miles since . Car will have fresh 12month mot

Engine / Drivetrain

: C20xe redtop chassis mounted . Coscast head . nbsp; arp bottom end bolts . eber 45's with itg filters . new cambelt and waterpump . Big wing sump . Radtec radiator . Oil cooler . Alloy bottom pulley . Custom oil catch tank . Race Ht leads . Vectra gsi coil pack . ull ashley exhaust system . Facet fuel pump and filter king regulator in the boot . tublular front crossmember

: Type 9 five speed . has custom gearbox mount . rp1 ap clutch . One piece prop . Standard back axle with standard diff which was rebuilt with new bearings to replace the welded diff that car came with .

: Spaced m16 calipers with drilled and grooved discs . Willwood bias pedal box . braided hoses .
Rear drums

: bilstien front shocks with lowering springs . single leaf springs on lowering blocks

Interior

: Sparco rev bucket seats with 4 piece luke harnesses . drift wheel . racetech capillary gauge which reads oil pressure and watertemp in one . Heater removed . Glove box . Rear bench in good condition . Car also has big tunnel to fit box

Exterior

: Nordic blue paint . Rs2000 rear bumper . New front grill . 13x7 rs rep wheels one has a curb mark these whhels can be bought for around £75 each separate and all tyres are like new

Bad points

: Rev counter non working and speedo is out due to 5 speed box ( i use app on my phone )
: Rear arches have had a previous repair and now the paint seems to be lifting . i have had a few bodyshops look at this and they say its due to to much paint being used and not root . Rear door how ever does have rust coming through in which ive shown in the pictures . Under the car is solid and not covered in wax oil either to hide anything . the boot has recently been painted and is a slightly lighter blue after we removed the spoiler which was on the car . Just being honest about these points but apart from that the cars in great shape and is a real attention seeker .
