Sometimes a freshly restored car can be nothing but problems due to having no "shake down" mileage to sort out any squeaks rattles and running issues. This does not apply to this car as it has been used as a daily driver doing nearly an 80 mile drive on average 4 times a weak.
The MG has been maintained mechanically regardless of cost to ensure utter reliability.
The MG drives superb with a lovely engine note coming through the stainless steel exhaust. the Automatic gearbox is a delight to drive with nice smooth changes going up and coming down through the gears.
The oil pressure is 45psi on tick over and nearly 60psi on start up. the water temperature is constant and never gets high.
The cabin is a lovely place to be with its lovely old wooden and nicely worn in Moto Lita steering wheel and the lovely seats are finished in black leather which have a good patena. you almost want the journey to continue as the car has a wonderful feel about it.
The bodywork is incredibly solid with some very small blisters but absolutely no rot anywhere. the paint is a little faded in places but it just looks so charming as it is.
The MG is running on original steel wheels and hub caps which really suit the B and there is a Webasto sunroof fitted which operates well and is water tight.
There is a small crack in the windscreen which has been there for years and it goes through its mot without any issues.
I have got tons of bills over the last six years for general servicing and maintainence and when you drive it you can feel that the money has been spent well.

It is a delight to see our original MGB-GT in such good condition.
VUV804G was the very first MGB with automatic to be delivered from "British Leyland". There is a personal letter from Lord Stokes to apologise for the late delivery in 1969.
