Thanks for looking and welcome to the sale of my 1990 BMW 318iS finished in Brilliant Red with Natural cloth interior. Original specification supplied from BMW UK as follows:

A brief history of this car- She was built week 23 June 1990 and first registered October 11th 1990 to Prophets Solihull (now Sytner Solihull) for their use. She was then registered to a Mr D Hedgecox. In 1993 she was then traded in at Rydale cars LTD Oldbury (now Sytner Oldbury) and sold to Mr Raymond Dalton on May 10th 1993 as a BMW approved used car. I have the bill of sale and approved used booklet. The car was kept in his hands until 1997 where she was sold to a BMW enthusiast by the name Mr Priest and then on August 5th 2000 was sold to Mr A Layton which loved and cherished the car for 15 years until I became the new keeper on November 11th 2015.

The car has covered a little over 149000 miles and is in great condition. Going over the paperwork accumulated over the years the car has wanted for nothing going at some points 600 miles between servicing. the most recent being at 140000. most recent work being a new water pump. water hoses. new belts. new breather pipe. new coolant. underside waxoyl. The car comes with an MOT until November 6th 2016 (I also have all the MOT's dating back to its very first in 1993. The bodyworks in fantastic condition with no dents or rust on the arches and looks stunning and in my opinion is finished in the best colour combination.

One of the last models of the E30 range to be added was the 318iS - a 2 door saloon. The 318iS was fitted with the M42 engine. the most up-date-engine fitted to any E30. It came with Sports Suspension (including rear Anti Roll Bars - ARBS). sports seats front vented discs; rear solid discs. power steering. electric windows. electric mirrors. de-chromed trim. M-tech steering wheel. leather gear knob and gaiter. front and rear spoilers and BMW sport seats. It started out life to beat the sports models that Volkswagen and other leading car manufacturers were producing (such as the golf GTI. BMW set out to produce a sports BMW which would match/ beat the performance of the likes of the GTI with an 1800cc BMW. At that moment in time. the only E30 BMW capable of out-performing the GTI was the 325i. The M42 16V DOHC engine was developed which produced 136BHP and was one of the most technologically advanced engine for its time and is also one of the most fuel economic E30's achieving around the 33MPG with mixed driving . There were rumours that the 318iS actually out-performed BMWs own 325i. so they restricted the power so the sales of the more expensive 325i wasn't effected. But still with 126BHP/tonne. it still gives the 323i a good run for its money.  

As you can see this is now a very rare and sort after car. I was planning to keep the car but I just don't think it'll get the use it deserves so I'd like to sell to someone that is going to love her and use her.
