For Sale - 1986 Austin Mini.

I am selling my Austin Mini Mayfair which has just been fully restored to a good standard.  When I first got this car it had poor paint work. So the car was stripped down to a bare shell & I carried out all the required welding for the MOT.  This consisted of a new rear valance & welding to both floor pans. then I fully under-sealed the underneath of the car.  After the welding it was sent to the spray shop where the body was stripped down to bare metal & had a full respray in candy apple green with a black gloss roof.

After the Mini came back from the paint shop it was put back together with all new parts which came from Moss in Hanworth (mini dealer). I have all the receipts from Moss which nearly totals to £700.

New Parts - front/rear chrome bumpers. chrome grill. carpet set. plastic wheel arches. rubber door & boot seals. clear front & side indicators. nbsp;rubber front/rear light seals. nbsp;front/rear windscreen rubbers with chrome trims. nbsp;2 x chrome wiper arms with new wipers. nbsp;2 x track rod ends. 2 x upper/lower ball joints. 2 x CV boots. 2 x front brake hoses. 2 x reconditioned brake calipers. new brake discs & pads. new brake fluid.  Many more new parts fitted but cant remember at this time.

The engine was fully rebuilt before I had purchased the car. so i had the engine cleaned & then painted the engine block & head with black engine paint. Once the engine was ready to go back in. it was treated to a reconditioned starter motor. alternator. & upgraded to electronic ignition.  Other parts that got replaced was - engine oil. oil filter. air filter. spark plugs. alternator belt. rocker cover gasket. sump gasket. reconditioned radiator. Many more new parts fitted to the engine but cant remember at this time.

The wheels where also refurbished as they where in very poor condition. I had them shot blasted & sprayed in gun metal grey. The wheels are now on good Perilli tyres & have all been balanced. also had the tracking done at the same time.

I took the Mini to the 2013 London to Brighton run. & I have also been to an the Ace Cafe mini meeting.  As I mentioned before this car has been restored to a high standard & is ready for someone to use/enjoy & take to the shows. Before the London to Brighton run it was tuned by a mini specialist who did a very good job as I drove it there & back without any problems.

Wherever the Mini goes it attracts a lot of attention because of the beautiful paint work.
