Fabulous unmolested and well preserved example of Mercedes' flagship coupe of the 1980s (W126. 044). Low mileage. Original Cyprus delivered car.

A desirable example of Mercedes superb SEC pillarless coupe. Built between 1979 – 1992 as part of Mercedes Benz' flagship range. In 1981. the coupé version C126 (SEC. acronym for (German language) S-Klasse-Einspritzmotor-Coupé) of the W126 S-Class premiered at the IAA with the 500 SEC model. In 1981. Wheels Magazine selected the W126 model 380 SE as its Car of the Year.



These exceptional cars were only available to the few who wanted build quality. style. statement and performance – though there was a price tag to match these high end aspirations.



Built to last and though very expensive when new. good examples of the SEC are becoming increasingly hard to find in this sort of condition. This particular car is an original. genuine. just over 90. 00 milewhich was built in the penultimate year of manufacture of this model. Presenting superbly in metallic ‘Almandine' red with cream leather and carpets with M-B over mats and standard flat face alloys. This car is in an extremely good condition both bodily and mechanically. There are no signs of rust anywhere throughout the body and no evidence of water ingress at the bulkheads. a common problem with some MB models from this era. It is ‘as it should be' with the paint still shining and all the brightwork in fine shape with a good finish. All of the electric windows work. creating that beautiful. ageless ‘pillarless coupe' look. as does the sunroof. electric seats and the seatbelt ‘butler arms'. The only non-stock features are a remote alarm system (two keys/remotes) and an upgraded Bluetooth compatible stereo allowing in journey hands-free texts and calls as well as use of an MP3 player. (The original stereo is still with the car. ) Inside the leather is in excellent condition with only scarcely visible wear to the driver's seat and the wood trim is perfect with a high gloss shine and no lifting or clouding.

The car was originally supplied new to a customer in Cyprus and the dry environment has clearly helped to maintain it's fine condition. It was then imported to the UK where it has had very few owners. Coming complete with full service book with lots of receipts from official M-B garages and specialists and plenty of past MoTs. and invoices covering the several thousand pounds spent on recent service items. Current MoT to end May 2017. though we would happily put a new one onto the car.
