Solid San Fransisco truck. nice patina on a cool 60's colour. This truck is solid just the way you dream of. never been welded. so dry underneath it is unreal. 350 V8 which starts brilliantly. pulls strong. no smoke. no overheating. makes good oil pressure too. TH350 transmission which works perfectly. Rear axle rebuilt a few months back. Brakes all recently overhauled. this thing is really nice to drive. coil springs all round. and it goes well. stops well. no wandering all over the road etc. But it does have that typical american floating feel about it so it's no Lotus when it gets to a corner. The electrics are all original and unmolested which is nice. no mess of scotchlocks and chocolate blocks everywhere. Stainless exhaust bolted to the tubular headers. sounds really nice. There are a few little issues with it. the fuel gauge never reads full (but the bottom half works. so you know when you only have half a tank or less) which is a sender fault. I tested the gauge and it is fine. It probably just wants the sender contacts cleaning but not something I was ever bothered about. The windscreen leaks a bit if you leave it out in the rain too. I don't have the keys for the doors (which doesnt bother me. but if you wanted you only have to take the lock barrel to a locksmith and get a key cut). Oh and some of the stitching has come out of the headlining. it either wants gluing up. taking out. or replacing with a new one. It has the odd mark on the body like you would expect from an honest 60's car. personally I like the patina as it is really usable. I don't fret about parking it in the supermarket car park etc. I fitted a new MSD HEI distributor with Moroso HT leads too. just to make the thing reliable. it has a holley carb. a new fuel pump and a new aluminium radiator so there is no reason for it to ever let you down. Oh. some the heater controls are a broken. you can alter the heater by working them manually under the dash. but I just leave it set on demist. the heater is awesome anyway if you ever use it in the cold so no real need to direct it to your feet. I got this with the intention of fitting a towbar and towing the race car to the track with it. but sadly I just don't have the space to have an extra vehicle laying around. Any questions just email. but please no timewasters. Obviously you will want to view this before buying it. so anyone serious should send me a message and arrange a viewing. The car currently has original 70's daisy mags on which I would probably like to keep. I have the original steel wheels with the stainless hubcaps (as in the first picture). but it can be negotiated if the buyer wants the daisymags. Oh. has about 10 months MOT on. Tax is free.
