This is the second of three personal cars that I am selling here on ebay from my collection due to the impending loss of some of my enclosed storage space. I hate to see it go. but cannot stand the thought of it not being garaged. so I've made the difficult decision to downsize my collection and sell. I am not a dealer.

I purchased this one family owned car from the nephew of the original owner along with a 1968 Pontiac with 46. 00 original miles (no that car is not for sale). The mileage. 58. 75. is believed to be the ACTUAL MILEAGE as indicated by the ownership history. including limited documentation. as well as the overall condition of the car. It has the original 302 engine that runs strong.  It has been driven routinely. but sparingly. on nice days and to cruise-ins since I have owned. I believe it has had one repaint some time ago in its original color. Lime Frost Green. which still shines very nicely. The seats are in fantastic condition and in the original style. The car maintains an original cruiser look that anyone would be proud to drive to a local show and get compliments. It still retains the original style and. unused. spare tire. Actually. I think it IS the ORIGINAL SPARE.  The trunk. floor pans. and frame are all solid as well with no rust or patch work. It has power steering. power brakes. and a center console. This car has not been hot-rodded nor has it suffered from any poorly thought out additions. deletions. or other modifications.   If you have been looking for a straight Mercury Cougar from this era. you know they are hard to find…. However. you are looking at one now! To me. the car is just right on. showable. but not one to be afraid to drive for fear of losing perfection.

Over the years. I've tweaked the car to enhance its looks. drivability. and ease of maintenance by doing the following:

Added Chrome Magnum 500 Wheels with spinners and modern tires to give the car a slightly more aggressive stance
Added dual exhaust to give a more performance oriented. yet subdued and tasteful. exhaust note
Replaced the mechanical motor-driven taillight sequencers and relays with a reliable solid state electronic sequential flasher kit so the taillights will blink reliably for years to come
Replaced the headlight actuator and troubleshot the system to ensure headlight covers function as they should
Added Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold
Added chrome valve covers
Added high quality Interstate Battery with battery disconnect

Over the past year. I have done the following:

Added new Edelbrock  600 cfm carburetor and inline fuel filter
Added new fuel pump
Added new distributer
Added electronic ignition
Added new spark plugs and wires and tuned up
Added new brake master cylinder

The original air cleaner. hubcaps. and other miscellaneous items go with the car. The only remaining mechanical item that could use tweaking is the driver's window (occasionally it wants to stick when rolling up). which is easy to fix.  This car has been checked recently and always thoroughly maintained by a certified mechanic while in my ownership and is ready to show and/or  go.

Again. please follow the links provided above for over 100 pictures and a few videos taken of the car all in the past 3 months. They describe the condition better than I can.
