One of a kind X Flow Turbo charged Escort


I listed this car for a few hours about 6 weeks back. but I was so inundated with calls and enquiries that I pulled the listing a few hours later while I decided if I definitely had to part with it. Well after careful consideration I am definitely going to sell it.

This jaw-dropping RHD car was purchased from South Africa back in late 2014. where it had already been a magazine featured car in “Max My Ride”. The chassis on this car is undoubtedly one of the best around and is completely solid and 100% rust free. (everyone who has seen it including Ford Enthusiasts have said it is the best one they have ever seen!).
I am only selling it as I am collecting cars like Kittens and I have another car due out of restoration in the next 6 months that I will need to pay for and find the room for at home.
The previous owner owned a machine shop. so a lot of parts were custom fabricated by him making it a truly one of a kind car and I have literally been pouring money into it since I have owned it. turning it into a sympathetic yet modern recreation of a 1600 RS.   

I could literally go on forever listing every upgrade on this car. instead I am going to list a few main ones and you can either view the car or call me if you have any further questions.

I am into it for well over £30. 00. but it is a lovely solid car that has been done properly.

This car has 10 Months MOT This started life as a base model carM REGIt goes like lightning and sounds like thunder! HPI Clear (contact me for reg number)V5 is correct and present (I am the first keeper and it correctly states it is 1600cc)

Small bits you might want to do in the future 


I am listing every single little fault I know about here no matter how small as I'm a very honest person!.

The gauges all work but after 40 years the petrol gauge can stick a bit. but I do have a spare set I will throw them in with the car. If you slam the doors. the windows drop a couple of mm (like most of these cars!!)It has fixed seat belts instead of inertia ones. I personally would update them. the car is FAR to quick for these old belts!. Small tear in the brand new headlining. but if you are local the garage that accidentally did it will replace it free of charge. She can clunk a bit when you put her in reverse sometimes but always goes in reverse without any problems.
Whilst I always felt the paintwork was far to nice to need anything doing to it. it should be noted it was done a good few years ago (maybe 7 or 8+). There are a few small areas that now have the odd mark. small chip or light surface scratch on them. I was quoted £350 to do the few little bits of paint listed below so please bid accordingly.

A small area under the bonnet might need a little paint at some point as it has had a historic brake fluid leak and the touch up reacted a bitWhere the fixture holes are and around the Aluminium inserts in the front panel and on a bit of chrome door trim the water has got caught and a few small areas of paint are starting to lift at the edges. It's not noticeable but I know they are there!.
 On the plus side having a long standing coat of paint on it also speaks volumes for the honesty of the car and as you can see by the pictures.
