Regrettably up for sale due to needing a daily driver is my Mk2 Escort 1600 Sport. nbsp;Genuine UK Model! in its original Calypso Green colour. first registered on the 9th of February 1979. The car has been in my care for a year and a half now and has given me lots of enjoyment in that time. really does turn heads and makes people smile!! Kept in a heated garage under cover and only ever bought out when the sun is shining. These cars are getting much harder to find. especially genuine UK versions!! Much better than money in the bank. would make an great investment that you can enjoy.
Anyway let's get to business!! Car is in lovely condition and is extremely solid having been lightly restored a few years ago by the previous owner. Paint job is gleaming! I was told that the engine was restored at the same time. having owned a number of escorts i can honestly say that this one is the sweetest one that i have driven. starts on the button. idles spot on and holds temperature perfectly. The car is very original and has the original Rosstyle wheels and i have put a 3 spoke Rs steering wheel back on her. Car is Taxed and has an M. O. T until 3/5/2017. Also has a great number plate which always gets a comment!!! Car is solid with no rust anywhere. All the instruments. speedometer. revometer etc all work.
Being such a lovely and usable car if I was keeping her the only things that I would have done is have the engine bay resprayed as it lets the car down and also replace the headlining as its showing its age. perfectly useable just worn. apart from this nothing needs to be done is to drive her.  The door card needs putting on the passenger side. i have the door card and lugs so just a case of putting it on. Viewing is welcome!
Available via separate negotiation are a pair of genuine spot lamps and brackets that i had bought with the intention of fitting. These are the only thing needed to complete the car.
