LAND ROVER SERIES 3 S.W.B. REGULAR SOFT TOP PETROL ( full nut and bolt rebuild)

LAND ROVER GENUINE SERIES 3 88IN REGULAR SOFTTOP 4CYL PETROL 1973. This vehicle has been beautifully restored over the summer as a complete nut and bolt restoration. We are a family business that has been in the landrover business now for over 40 years. We acquired this vehicle through the trade and on inspection we saw that this vehicle was so original that we had to take our time with this and bring it back to its forma glory. o we set to work removing all parts . ngine . earbox and panels to get to the chassis which was in need of being changed. nce the new chassis was in place we slowly rebuilt the landrover with new parts (listed below) and original parts. The engine was running before we dismantled so we replaced all the side core plugs including the threaded core plug which is above the starter motor. e changed the oil and filter. he fuel pump was checked and found ok. webber carb was in good condition and the starter motor was all good. The water pump was replaced along with new heater valve. ew plugs. oints. ondenser and new type red rotor arm for reliability. Gearbox was drained and refilled with new oil the high range had not been used for some time and was reluctant to engage this was rectified and now works as it should. Handbrake was stripped down and the output oil seal was replaced along with the handbrake shoes. Front axel was striped down and complete front swivel housing bearings and seals replaced. Rear axle all good with no faults found. Brake shoes have been replaced with all new brake cyls all round. Following is the list of new parts used in the comprehensive rebuild. ELECTRICS. NEW SIDE AND INDICATOR LAMPS FRONT AND REAR NEW WIPER ARMS AND BLADESNEW HEAD LAMP BUCKETS
BODYWORK. NEW TOP AND BOTTOM DOORS COMPLETENEW TAILGATE NEW FRONT BUMPERNEW REAR GRAB HANDLES NEW REAR BENCH SEATSNEW SAND FULL SOFT TOP WITH SIDE WINDOWSNEW HOOD STICKS NEW REAR LOAD MAT NEW FLOOR PANELS (only because the new ones looked better than the old)NEW FOOT WELLS 
SUSPENSION . NEW ROAD SPRINGS FRONT AND REAR NEW SHOCKABSORBERS FRONT AND REAR 
The vehicle was all finished in landrover marine blue with limestone wheels .
