Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera

Thank you for viewing my 1986 Porsche 3. 2 Carrera. this car was first registered in January 1986 making it a 1985 model car. I have owned this car for 2 years and have undertaken restoration work.

The car came to me with 65. 00 miles on the clock. there has been a registered speedo change undertaken by Porsche at 33. 00 miles and is noted in the service history.

The car had all the typical 3. 2 problems. valve seals were leaking. heat exchangers rotten. leaking oil cooler. stiff gearbox (915 model with oil cooler) and rotten B posts.

I took the car off the road and stripped the car completely. the engine has had a top end rebuild including having the heads re machined and new studs fitted. all valves re cut and lapped. new piston rings. cam chains and new guides followed by careful re assembly with all cams vernier gauge adjusted and set. New heat exchangers fitted 14 months ago

The gearbox was entrusted to Chris Turner who rebuilt the box with new 2nd gear set and new synchros. nearly £2. 00 of original Porsche parts there alone. Linkages were tested and replaced as required and a new Porsche short shift kit combined with new clutch make this 915 box change gear better than it came when new.

Body was stripped. new outer sills and B posts both sides by a professional restoration company and then resprayed to its standard colour.

Targa top has been refurbished by professional trimmers and fits well.

Wider Fusche wheels and good tyres

Interior is in excellent condition apart from piping on drivers seat bolster which is worn.

Car came with factory sports kit including Boge shocks. all specs are detailed in Porsche certificate of Authenticity.

Car is in near perfect condition and drives according to Chris Turner as a proper 911 should.

Receipts for all work undertaken and photographs. this car has to be one of the most sorted 3. 2's around.

Cat 1 alarm. immobiliser and tracker fitted
