 Extremely rare Porsche 356 Speedster. What makes this car special. is the fact that it has an original pre A 1955 chassis/body. Coupled with the number's matching. Porsche factory installed. more powerful. 1956 A 1600 motor. The car was first registered with motor vehicles in 1956. A quick VIN search on 356a. com confirms the car as being a 1956 Pre A Speedster by Reutter built in 1955.  It is an Arizona car and always garaged. I'm the fourth owner and have owned the car since the 1980's. Old repaint circa 1990's. I have a Porsche certificate of authenticity. It has the numbers matching engine and the transmission has been swapped with a model B speedster transmission. it also has the original pan and all original body panels. The body is in excellent condition and the car is mechanically sound. Original Twin 32 PBIC Carbs. As well as all original numbers matching vin Reutter badges. Sealed beam headlights and a mileage counter listed under original options. I have had the same mechanic from Redline who has known and worked on the car for 40 plus years. having introduced me to the previous owner for purchase.
