mk2 consul in superb unmolested condition

here is my very nice mk2 consul its a very early 1960 so quite possible mot excempt  its fully road legal and will drive from lands end to john ogroats  the interior apart from dash covering is all original there has been a after market carpet fitted under this there is a complete rubber matt fitted to the base models only plus there is no chrom horn ring on this model or rear blades on back paneliv not seen another of this type well the car is solid underneath and doesn't seem to have had much welding at all it is been waxoiled or what ever it is and is very good we have gone all underneath it to make sure no one lost a tub of filler underneath or expand foam {it does happen } the brakes are brilliant as they have been completely overhauled by previous owner he also fitted electronic ignition he had the car some 16 years but the last five years didn't use it so he sold it to me I have since found and fitted a dash covering and replaced the rather poor rear screen rubber so the car is now water tight I have also purchased a steel visor and given time will fit but its included in the sale all tyres are whitwall and matching in very good condition the seat are now good there was a split in the front but it was on a seem so this was corrected the body is in very straight and clean condition you will not find a consul in this condition for the same money I would be very surprised if you found one as good as this that hasn't been rebuilt but I'm sure there will be some people out there with a different opinion this is my descrition of a nice mk2 consul if you are serious about this car you would be better viewing it your self to make sure it is what you want it wont be the cheapest but you get what you pay for don't you I have driven this car as a daily driver for 4 months but failing health and a move into camping as we have a campervan now makes it unpracticall to keep such a good car it needs to be used not stored away it doesn't do them no good they were built to drive this isn't a show car or as they say trailer queen but it could be if that's what you wanted on the plus side I moted this car so I new what was what but as its a very early 1960 car it was obviously made in 1959 this would not be hard to find out I may look into this if time allows well then it would make this car mot excempt  I have loved mk2s all my life and I have a 59 in yellow and white but alas its in need of a lot of work but in all the time iv been going to shows and car meets I have not seen another consul in this colour I have mots going back to 1997 with a gap of I think one year when it wasn't moted that makes it quite possible that the low mileage could be correct but I fail to see why mileage matters on a nearly 60 year old car but some seem to think it matters I don't it drives superb for its age and always get attention no matter where you pull up I could go on and on but its really better for you to in the least ask questions if your intrested or better come and see for your self you are welcome to come by arrangement as you will be offerd a nice brew tea that is or cheap coffee horrid stuff  only joking  well I do hope you have enjoyed looking at the pictures and having a laugh at my spelling mistakes I don't care lol well I do hope to see some of you and trust me this car is definatly worth a look  oh sorry I for got to mention all the bright work its all in great shape at some time in its life some one has removed it all bumpers headlight ect ect and painted behind them with a light blue hamerite witch has kept the nasty rust away oh and I have fitted new better front head lights for safer night driving well its goodbye from me and tata from him I would like a 100 pound deposit at end of auction and cash on collection unless other wise arranged if no contact within 24 hrs it will be relisted and winner will be pursued and reported to ebay
