1973 Alfa Romeo GT Junior 1600

 For sale is my 1973 Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Junior in RHD configuration. It has the original style Boar Tan interior leather and Forest Green exterior paint in great condition. The paint looks to have been redone some time in the past 15 years. but shows minimal signs of wear except for a few blemishes highlighted in included photos. The interior is mostly original. with a few modifications made to bring the car as close as possible to its intended factory state.

Since taking ownership in 2007 the Car has had many improvements. including:
- A full brake system rebuild (booster. master cylinder. brake pads. rotors. calipers. and new soft brake lines)
- Radiator replacement
- 4 new wheel bearings
- New rear exhaust section
 - Dellotro 40mm carbeurator rebuild with new mounts/intake manifold gasket
- Dash/center console refinishing.

The 1600cc engine runs strong with over 190psi on all 4 cylinders (tested 5/6/12). It is a strong engine that will run all day at 4500RPM. The Engine and Chassis are matched. and the motor has not been pulled from the car before. The transmission is untouched except for servicing. but shifts smoothly under normal driving. The car is lowered with Koni shocks & springs and sports wide Yokohama AV1 205/60R14s with Cromadora reproductions in good shape. There is no known structural rust on the underside of the chassis (or the typical rust places like the spare tire well). The stock Airbox and Cam Cover are painted/powdercoated wrinkle flake black and the exhaust was coated with a heat-resistant finish. The Interior was simplified by eliminating duplicate gauges on the main dash panel. The car now has matching stained wood pieces with a reupholstered center console. The stock plastic and metal steering wheel was replaced with a Nardi Classico wheel in perfect condition. Since taking ownership. there has been over $6k invested in making it a reliable driver . This car has been on a 2 day 1500 mile round-trip recently with absolutley no issues whatsoever.

This Alfa was a European RHD model delivered originally to Cyprus in the Mediteranian in 1973 to a Military Reserve Pilot stationed there (according to the Alfa Romeo registry). The car was brought to the United States around 1998 and retains Italian license plates under the CA plates. as well as some left over stickers on the window in Greek from the original owner. The odometer reads 45. 00 miles which seems legitimate considering it spent its first 25 years on a 100 mile by 40 mile island. An additional album with 230 photos can be found further down.

The car is located in Long Beach. California and can be viewed for inspection. I would be happy to put it up on a lift at a local mechanic for those interested.
