1969 AUSTIN MINI COOPER BEIGE

This 998cc mini was produced ont he 3rd of Novoember and registed on the 14th of November. and 1969 and is believed to be the 7th from the last made. Completely restored by sevenoaks minis 10 years ago. although the body is in extremely good shape. with no visible signs of rust.

I kept in a dry dehumidiefied garage since I purchased it over a year ago. I'm looking to buy an erlier mini so. unfortunaltely. this mini will need to go.

Facts about the car.
Being so late in the mk2 production. this car features a few unusual items as the factory were obviously preparing for the introduction of the new mk3 model.
*antelope beige (with a factory snowberry white roof) colour scheme
*mk 3 pressed bootlid (with mk2 badges and number plate)
* mk3 type scuttle pannel with additional wiper holes)
The panels are all correct including both right and left 4 hole side sills. The front panel still has original stamped body identifier plate.

the petina on the interior is really in superb condidtion. All original including the original streering wheel (not shown. which will be going with the car). the one in the picture will be kept for the future.

The car has recently been converted to dry suspention. as one of the hrdro diplacers went. being uncertain if a replacement would last. i decided this would be the best decision. Rubber cones. trumpets and a set of high lows were installed. along with adjustable dampers for a more performance ride.

The car comes with a letter of confirmation signed a certificate officer from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust archive confirming the car chasis number for authenticity sake.  

the brakes have been uprated to cooper s ones (for modern day driving) 

The original carbs. have been taken out to acomodate a more reliable start up. The origianls . I have complete with the traditional black oval box air filter. but will need to be stipped down and jets cleaned (with was the root of the intitial issue). These will obviously go with the car as it belongs to the original engine.

I have spent several thousands in getting it all working really well.  
A New set of mini spares minilife 4. 5x10 wheels with yokohama slick tyres were added 3 months ago. and really do look nice on the mini. I do have a set of 3 brand new 10inch normal tread tyres that will go with the car as well.

The engine is very strong and have had the car on the rolling road back in January of this year ( when the hif 38 carb was installed ). Compression test show really nice pressure on all 4 cylinders and have noted 56. 3 BHp. which shows the engine to be still on top form. The car does have a small oil leak . and is a reflection on the price. The car runs smooth and is extremely quiet inside.  

This mini was shown at beaulieu this year and was a real head turner.
