For those of you that don't speak Ford lingo. R-code is Fordspeak for the division’s racing motor: the famous 427 cid Dual-Quad V-8 rated at 425 horsepower. the same engine Shelby dropped in his 427 Cobra.

The 427 powerplant in the R-Code is capable of 480 pound feet of torque and neck snapping power which the factory estimates a mid 12 second quarter mile! The 427 engine option was intended to replace the 406 that Ford was using at the time for NASCAR applications was built to utilize the maximum displacement of 7 Liters that NASCAR allowed.

All this power is translated through a be This gorgeous Galaxie is dressed in Corinthian White and only clocks an impressive 1. 00 miles since it was restored.

The restoration did an amazing job of preserving an American icon and this Galaxie shows just as good as it runs and drives.
