MORRIS MINI MINOR GREEN 1964 LITTLE GREEN PIECE OF HISTORY price dropped

1964 Morris Mini  minor Mk. I in Almond Green. One of most sought after Minis ever.   An absolute time portal back to when it was produced. this

 has been well looked after by its previous owners. both of which were from the same family being brother and sister.     The V5 now lists 2

 previous owners as it came to us with the original old style log book

This beautifully restored Mini has covered just 96000 miles from new in the hands of those  2 owners having been told   by them it sailed over 

to France a few times in its life.

The history file on this car is incredible. we have the original Log Book. Service history from 1966 (2 year and 5000 mile service)-1978. nbsp;  MOT 

certificates and check lists  from 1968-1980 and 1981-1983 Original log book. Last on road 1983

EQUIPMENT

10” steel wheels with New tyres and chrome trims. Sliding windows. Passenger's wing mirror. Oil pressure gauge. Temperature gauge. Floor 

dip/main beam button. Interior heater. nbsp; Driver/ Passenger sun visor. Spare wheel. Jack.

EXTERIOR

This early Mk1 Morris Mini-Minor has been fully Restored throughout and is presented  in its original  colour of Almond Green.  Having spent the 

majority of its life under a cover  there was no major rust to the body or the underside. nbsp; a  coat of under body guard rather than underseal. has 

been applied to the centre section of the outer floor pan then overlapped with the Green top coat as you would expect to prolong the life in the 

future.

The car maintains a charming  finish. . Both doors shut with a hearty thud. Usual problem areas such as the scuttle panel. ‘A' pillars. and floor 

pans were all entirely solid pre restoration. and  with the chrome replaced  throughout apart from the rear opening window frames.  also in a 

presentable un modified  original looking condition.

The front screen has been replaced with a new unit again to improve the overall  safety. And accompanied with new wiper arms and blades.


INTERIOR

The delicate porcelain green interior is the perfect complement to the exterior paintwork.  the upholstery remains in impeccable condition with 

no fading and only two minor  cuts  to the original vinyl seats. The carpets have been replaced with a new black tailored set. Also for safety 

reasons the front seat belts were upgraded to a more modern set.

The interior retains all of the early Mini fittings and components. which are still in excellent order. The headlining is unblemished with only minor 

sagging visible to the padded vinyl on the dash.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The engine bay is in very good order. as to be expected.  On the whole the area retains all original parts. with the exception of age related or 

wear and tear items  that could be improved for safety  or reliability  such as spark plugs or brake master cylinder. The car is. of course. nbsp;

matching numbers.

 the Mini has received  major mechanical overhaul to bring it up to scratch. nbsp; not for necessity but again  reliability.  and has make it a very 

useable driver; as such it is in excellent mechanical fettle.

Some of the engine bay work under taken. but not limited to:

Carburettor cleaned stripped and overhauled.

Engine stripped. Rings and big ends replaced.  

Cylinder head stripped and decoked. later stem oil seals fitted.

Full gasket set used.

Since the rebuild and MOT have flushed the oil and changed filter twice.

New clutch kit.

Re painted in MOWOG green engine paint

New Brake and clutch master cylinders.

New clutch slave cylinder

The trademark ‘magic wand' gear lever operates in a satisfying manner. and adds very much to the fun of driving this little car.


WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES

The Mini currently sits on its original 10” steel wheels finished in old English white with brand new set of premium falkern tyres complete with 

the original chrome embellishers which have seen minimal/road test and MOT  use since their fitting.

New Brake Shoes. wheel cylinders. flexi hoses and copper brake pipes throughout.

New wheel bearings.
