Current customer rating: (256 votes ) based on1977 Cadillac Seville w/ 29K miles
Driven only 1500 miles from 2001 to 2013 when I got it as shown from original owner receipts going back to 2001. I brought it up to its current all working condition and put 10. 00 Miles on it since. Condition confirms. Car was owned by elderly lady in Arizona. I bought it from her son. Her husband was the original owner. Paperwork to verify included.
Car has received new paint ( all trim and front fenders removed) Georgian Silver with painted black pin stripes as original. New rear bumper fillers and new SMS original material top done at the same time.
Car is in excellent condition with all options working fine. new tires and brakes. rebuilt transmission ( it was 40 years old after all worked fine but still. ). all new soft fuel lines. both fuel pumps. new intake manifold gasket. new NOS Bosch TPS. New cold idle "choke" device. nbsp;belts and cooling hoses. new gas filler and radiator cap and on and on.
I got the car to replace my 26. 000 mile academy Grey '76 which some idiot hit me head on in and totaled. I built this to be what it is: a really nice. reliable. classy. cool driver capable of winning most local shows. and still able to drive cross country. I don't say this very often but this is a car you can literally fly in and drive home.
Here are some answers to the FAQ's:
No. I do not have the original window sticker. BUT !!!! I do have the dealer pull-off from it that the dealer kept as part of the inventory file for the car ( see pictures ). It lists all the options that came with the car as well as price for each option and total price of the car when new. Car has the complete glove box set of docs and a few more things like "cadillac dealer options available' brochure from the period. tire warrantees. space saver spare brochure. Wheel cover tool. nbsp;etc. . etc. Car also will come with the '76 specific manual for Seville repair. body Manual. Fuel Injection manual as well as a 1977 Cadillac Factory Service Manual that covers this car.
Yes - the "digital" clock works. and keeps perfect time BTW.
Climate control A/C works very well. fan cycles up and down. max A/C recycled air vent opens. all automatically. System is charged with R-12 Freon. New correct heater valve.
Yes. the 8 track and the Antenna work as they should.
Yes the little lights over the door licks turn on when you touch the outside door button. its part of the "illuminated Entry System" and was sold as a security feature at the time. All the interior light come on as well. must be at least 10 of the things.
Interior. shows very well with very little wear and no rips . tears or stretching of the material.
No. there are no pits in the chrome or trim. I added in a picture of the drivers side rear view mirror. usually a fairly common pitting pot metal piece. All the chrome is that good.
Yes. it does have the factory stow away spare with the canister complete with the jacking block.
Has the optional 4 note horn that sounds like a freight train. ( likely dealer installed to scare the moose as it was originally delivered in Anchorage. Alaska to the owner) . really cool! Car was registered in Arizona shortly thereafter. another question asked.
Yes. the self leveling pump is working fine. Tick - TIck - TIck -Tick. Rear shocks were replaced with Monroe Air Shocks but piped in to work with self-leveling system.
Yes. the rear bumper fillers were replaced when the car was painted. ( see added pictures for fit )
Automatic Power Locks work as intended and actuate when you shift to drive. All windows and power locks work fine.
Yes. Trunk release and pulldown both work fine. Pull down was rebuilt with NOS parts.
Car was painted with Gasurit Color Coat/Clear Coat in 2013 because the original 2 part lacquer finish had failed and the primer was beginning to show through. Fenders were pulled to avoid unnecessary tape stripes and required for removal of all trim. also replaced the heater core and hoses at that time as they were accessible.
Yes - I have all receipts for the work done under my ownership (stewardship?) and will go with the car.
Car has the optional higher geared rear end (towing and limited slip). This is a rare option and really helps with the take-off from a standing start compared to other Sevilles of the period that don't have that option. (see Pictures for dealer pull-off list of options)
Yes - Inspections are welcome - Please call to arrange
Yes - all hoses are no more than 3 years old. including fuel injection hoses
Headliner is perfect - see picture
Yes. I have clear Florida title in my name ready to go
