Jaguar E type V12 coupe for sale

I am a retired classic car enthusiast and recently spent some months in the Americas looking for good British classics. I came across this one in Canada where it has been from new. Three owners only. the last for some 12 years. and a total mileage below 70k.
The body is exceptionally sound and rust-free. good panel fit. no signs of major repairs. just a few small dents and dings. The paintwork is perfectly serviceable but certainly not show standard. if I was keeping this I would have a quality re-spray done. It has an excellent steel sunroof which the vendor had believed to be factory fitted but I'm not so sure. I don't believe that Jaguar ever offered this as an option.
The interior is actually quite good and in the best of all colours. The wheels are excellent with almost new tyres. the bright-work is good. This is a good. driveable car with outstanding performance.
Best news of all is that it comes with two great engines and gearboxes.
The original V12 and manual box were taken out at 65. 00 miles and a rebuilt. tuned '69 Corvette 350bhp unit was installed. the 5. 7 litre small block V8. nbsp;together with a Chevy 5 speed box. This is quite a common conversion over there. the Chevy engine fits beautifully with no chopping or welding thus the V12 can re-installed relatively easily. The V12 is on a good loading skid. ancillaries still fitted. nbsp;and there are a number of boxes of various parts in the car that may be useful.
Thus this could be turned into a numbers matching very sound and original E type without a huge amount of work or outlay. and no doubt most of this cost could be offset by selling the Corvette unit which is rare and valuable in it's own right.
All documents are with the car including the Nova confirmation of payment of all import duty and VaT. plus workshop manuals etc. I have not yet applied for UK registration but am happy to do so if required. The reserve is set at exactly what the car has cost me. which I believe to be very realistic. The value of E types in general and the V12's in particular is showing steady and substantial gains. great investments plus a lot of fun.
