1922 Model T FORD tourer. poss part exchange for sale

Here is my Model T Ford.  The condition is quite nice and she has been complimented frequently but  isn't in concours condition. What year is it? The US title was for 1922 and so it was registered here as 1922. As far as I can tell that is accurate.

Over the winter I have done the following :- decoke and valves reground. starter recon. professional carburettor recon done in the USA. new heavy duty battery from Lincon Batteries. nbsp;two new tyres and flush out fuel lines. I also had the head skimmed to increase the compression a bit - this is commonly done because of the high quality of modern fuels. A new copper gasket for the head and new gaskets for the manifolds were fitted when putting her back together. The NH carburettor is correct. but it has had a modification or two. The jet is neoprene tipped - which is a common mod to increase the life expectancy of the part. The mixture adjustment. which originally was done from inside the car. is now modified to be done under the bonnet. Little things of this kind are bound to happen over the 90 year life of the car. I have added the ornamental radiator cap. because it allows you to see the engine temperature from inside the car. It has also had an visual oil level gadget fitted - so you can check the oil level by just peeping under the car. rather than having to tweak little pet-cocks every time you go out. Incidentally. it doesn't seem to be using much oil. but I haven't done tens of thousands of miles in it.

The car is running on original trembler coils and 6 volts. It switches over to magneto fine when started. The lighting system is electric. The high level lights are decorative only and the windscreen wiper is manual. Driving a Model T is somewhat peculiar and I would not recommend that you plan to drive one for the first time on a busy road. Timing and accelerator are operated from hand levers and the three pedals are forward. reverse and brake. There are several videos on starting and driving these cars on youtube.

There is a pic of the engine block. The pistons are standard size and the bores aren't showing any significant wear. It seems to be the original engine block. or at least a contemporary one. But. it hasn't done a lot of miles.

I hope the link below brings you a youtube video of me starting and driving the car! She has an electric starter and I use it! She also has a manual starter handle.

The roof is pretty good. but a small tear right on top. out of sight. has been patched. It doesn't leak. When the roof is down. it is hidden in the folds. Someone stood on the drivers side front wing at some point. where it joins with the running board and there is slight damage. shown in the pics. Essentially. it bent slightly.  She has been fitted with a steering damper.

Part of the pleasure of these cars is that they are easy to work on and they were designed to use unleaded fuel - in the days before lead was ever added in the first place. There is always something that can be done. the Model T has a need for regular maintenance. but they were designed for farmers and alike to do most jobs at home and most routine stuff doesn't need specialist tools. There is a very good spares supply for these cars and the owner's clubs are a good source of advice.

Car can be viewed in Ringwood Hants.

I am selling to fund a project. so I do want a reasonable quantity of cash from this sale. However. I WILL CONSIDER taking something in part exchange. if it helps a deal.
