I purchase and refurbished this vehicle for personal use and to advertise my business. I have antique plates which limits the Jeeps usage to primarily car shows and parades. I enjoy driving and just looking at it but time constraints. lack of garage space and yes a persistent wife (and maybe age) now pressure me to sell. Vehicle Condition.
Everything mechanical works! The engine is solid. starts easily. runs and idles smoothly. This jeep is leak free. New tires and seats. Roll bars are solid. Electrical system operational. Radio old and does not work. For a 46 year old steel jeep its outstanding!
Steel body. hood and windshield (the real deal). Steel diamond plate deck. Jeep refurbished 5 years ago. Chassis sanded found minor body rust. some areas of bondo use (passenger side mostly) dents. dimples (nothing effecting structure). frame and chassis are rust free. Redid undercarriage. rebuilt transfer case. new shocks. bearings racing glass pack mufflers. exhaust reducer kit. drum brake wheel cylinders and replaced worn or leaking seals plus Engine coolant thermostat. Carb rebuilt and where necessary wiring replaced. added back-up lights. towing hitch and also fender tow hitches.
Please reference photos to aid in your decision making. Paperwork on all repairs and upgrades.
Additional: New Voricao A/T BA80 Tires (less than 100 miles use) Original Kaiser Dauntless oil air filter (exhibition use) Jerry can and Ammo box.
The dauntless v6 engine powerful and straight-forward with none of the emission related components of the 1970s and 80s. It is CA smog exempt due to its age. This vehicle is 85-90% stock w/ the original 3 speed transmission and rebuilt transfer case.
Observation/warning: Early jeeps have a very short wheel base. no power breaks or steering and no anti-sway bars thus making them unforgiving to an inexperienced driver! However bearing in mind the above and operating the jeep as intended. they are fun. reliable and reasonably safe.
TERMS OF SALE: The title is free and clear and in my possession.
IF asked I will not provide the reserve price however it is NOT in double digits (although for a vehicle of this caliber I expect it should sell well above reserve)!
THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE TO ARRANGE FOR AND/OR PERSONALLY PICK UP THE VEHICLE 10 DAYS FROM AUCTION END.
This vehicle is sold "AS IS" and WITHOUT A WARRANTY.
