A very unique and quite possibly unrepeatable opportunity to own "the best" Ford Granada MK2 that is currently on the open market in the UK!

A truly exceptional. un-restored 1983 Ford Granada MK2 2. 8 Ghia X Estate with just 16787 miles from new. This car is sure to delight any Ford Granada enthusiast or collector that wants to own the best of the best. Every now and then. a car comes along that breaks the mould. something that is different or in a league of it's own. a car that is special. This Ford Granada is just that. a very. very special car indeed!

Finished in it's factory applied coat of Caspian Blue metallic. the paint finish is just breath taking. Even under very close scrutiny. all we can find are just one or two tiny. pin head sized touch ups. To find a car that is now 33 years old. that is completely unrestored and that has body work in this condition is nigh on impossible! 

Protected from new with a light coating of clear wax oil. in all the right places. we have got to say that it has certainly done it's job. Evidently pampered and cherished since day one. we very much doubt that this example has ever seen a British winter out on the road. It has obviously been tucked away and stored correctly when not in use. and for the last 7 years. it has lived inside a Car-coon. Every single panel is as it left the factory and nothing has ever been disturbed.  The wheel arches are incredible. The inner doors and door bottoms are like new. as are the hinges. latches and screws.

A thin layer of wax oil has been applied behind the bumpers. protecting where the bolts come through. It is in the door shuts. the inner wings. the bulk head. the slam panel and on the underside lips of the wheel arches. A thicker layer has been applied across the tops of the head lights. inside the slam panel and inside the bonnet. The car is 100% corrosion free. outside. inside and underneath.  The paint around the door frames is exceptional and still retains it's deep. matt finish. All rubbers are unmarked and still supple. The chrome work around the whole car is superb. the off side rear door chrome has a couple of little marks. The body side mouldings and bumper inserts and corners are again completely unmarked.

Internally. we have got to say that we have never seen a face lifted MK2 as good as this one. it is like brand new! The Navy Chatsworth seats front and rear are exceptional. The shape and firmness is as new and the cloth is sag and stretch free. The electric front seats work perfectly as do the front seat heaters. The deep. cut pile carpet is superb and free from damage or marks. The door cards are unmarked and the wood inserts are un-faded. All plastics are damage and scuff free. The headlining is unmarked and as new. The dashboard is again. exceptional and completely crack free. It is very evident that the car has never been subjected to any hard. family use or any extensive periods of UV light. Usually. the electric front windows start getting slower with age. not with this car. The 4 electric windows operate as smooth. quiet and as quickly as they would have done new. The on board fuel computer is in full working order. The factory Air Condition blows nice and cold. The original Ford Radio Cassette player is present and will be fitted before sale. The overhead map reading lights work perfectly and the tilt/slide sunroof is smooth in operation. The central door locking is in fully working order. All instruments and gauges are clear and fully functional. The rear load area is incredible. it looks as though it has never been used. The carpet is like brand new. The plastics are unmarked. The rubber boot mat that sits underneath the carpet is as new and usually these just start to perish. crack and split with age. The paintwork is completely unmarked. it really is incredible. We have never seen a boot/load area that is as good! The dealer fitted cargo barrier is still present and the optional luggage cover/roller parcel shelf is in place. All the original tools are present underneath the unmarked remove able lid. The original rubber straps are still securing the jack and wheel brace in place. The original Bollig & Kemper paint code sticker is still in place and showing the paint as Mid Metallic Blue with the code of XSC 1691. We must admit. the whole car is impressive. but taking in to account that most of these Estate cars were purchased to carry huge loads. the boot area is just so impressive. just in it's condition and evident lack of use. sensational!

The wheels and tyres are superb. All 5 alloy wheels are completely un-refurbished and unmarked. All 5 carry the correct and original date stamp. January 1983. The original Dunlop SP4 tyres are still fitted and have huge amounts of tread remaining. Please note that although the tyres have good tread. they are old. They are ideal for show purposes due to keeping with the originality. however. they have as you would expect. started to perish. With this in mind. we would not advise driving the car on these tyres. For MOT purposes and for driving the car. we can confirm that a set of 4. Ford accessory RS alloy wheels with as new tyres will also be supplied with the car.

Having been tucked away in a Car-coon for the last 7 years it is now time for this truly wonderful old Granada to stretch it's legs again. The car is under going a thorough and complete inspection and will be fully. mechanically recommissioned prior to sale.

This truly incredible Granada was first registered by Fords of Knutsford on 1st April 1983 and has had just 3 previous keepers. All hand books are present including the original service book which is showing 7 stamps in total. all carried out by the supplying dealer and another stamp will be added once the service has been completed. A hand written and detailed log is present of all the MOT's and mileages covered throughout the years. and lots of little notes of what the car has had and when. it is very carefully written and presented and just shows the amount of love that this car has had. A host of old MOT certificates are present within the file.

A full 12 months MOT will be provided. Current V5 is present along with 3 original Ford keys. needless to say that 1 key fits all locks.

This exceptional example will appeal to and satisfy the most discerning of buyers.  There will be no one that can find fault with this car. it is quite simply exceptional. There will not be another on the market today that is anywhere near as good. if you want to own the best face lifted MK2 Granada on offer. then you will not find another as good.
