MK 1 Cortina Estate

MK 1 Cortina Estate. br>Finished in blue & white. I think it is the original paint on most of the panel's. The bodywork for its age I would of said its in pretty good condition however it does have some rust here and there to be expected. since I have brought the car I have done a lot of work which include's all of the welding which was required underneath the car. the floor also has been sand blasted and had rust treatment sprayed on to it and then it has had two coats of primer and two coats of top coat. as you can see under the bonnet the two inner wings need attention which was the next thing I was going to do.
All of the brakes have been renewed. it has had the front brake calipers and has had new seals and piston's and also new pads. the rear brakes have had new shoes. wheel cylinders and the master cylinder has also had new seals. I have lowered the car by 2" front and rear the front was done by fitting new springs the rear was done by blocks.
The engine runs very well. no rattles and it is fitted with a new electronic ignition and H/T leads. the cylinder head was removed and overhauled. The gear box is a 2000E which has been rebuilt. it has a new clutch. the rear diff to my knowledge is all original it has no noises or rattles.
The interior of this vehicle is all original and is very clean apart from the drivers seat which is a bit on the tatty side I was going to get it recovered. it has the original rubber matting which is in very good condition. I have fitted a set of GT clocks in the center of the dash but to try and keep it original I have fitted a new fuel gauge under the dash as I have also fitted a new fuel tank which is made of aluminium so I had to fit a new sender unit which wouldn't work with the original GT clock hence why I have fitted the one under the dash but I do have a set of clock's which I was going to replace the GT clock's with which is included in auction. at the end of the day it is up to you as i was going to do this.  
The battery has been moved to the rear to make room under the bonnet I have also moved the washer bottle to the rear I have done this because my plan was to fit a ZTECH engine.
You are probably wondering why I am selling the car. its because I have just recently got a new job which means I have no spare time to work on the car which is a bit disappointing as its not being used as much as I would like. the car has MOT until may 2017 and it is also TAXED which is obviously FREE!
