1963 Nova SS Hardtop

Originally the car was Ember Red with Red Interior with a 6 cylinder powerglide.

Now marina blue with black interior. 355 small block with 350 Turbo trans with TCI 4 link and CPP minisubframe.

Southern California body – very solid except for small amount of rust in rear quarters. The passenger side trunk dropout and rear quarter behind the rear wheel were dented and repaired poorly. Needs the dropout and rear quarter panel repaired in this area. See pic. Floors/rockers/doors/fenders/inner fenders/deck lid/trunk etc. . all in great shape.

All glass in great shape.

Aluminum headed 355 small block Chevy runs great.

Turbo 350 trans. 3000 rpm stall. nbsp;manual valve body.

Ford 9 inch with 3. 90 gear and Detroit locker – rear diff is a little noisy – I have a nice used 2. 75:1 Ford R&P that goes with the car.

TCI 4 link with frame ties. panhard bar and coilovers.

CPP minisubframe with upper and lower tubular A arms and QA1 double adjustable coil over dampers.

Hurst Quarterstick shifter.

Aluminum radiator with Mark 8 electric fan.

Dual master cylinder with adjustable proportioning valve and line lock.

CPP front disc brakes.

Rear drum brakes.

Hooker Super Competition Headers.

Full 2 ½ inch mandrel bent aluminized dual exhaust – fully welded with Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers.

Factory newer Nova 14 inch wheels sandblasted and painted Argent silver (7 inch on rear and 6 inch on front) with new General Altimax tires. 195/60-14 on rear and 185/60-14 on front.

Tachometer with shift light and aftermarket gages – Trans temp gage is not wired in.

Manual steering and brakes. but because it is lightweight. it's easy to steer and brake. Does have some play in the steering gear. but car was just aligned and runs straight down the road. The new suspension makes the car easy to drive. handle and brake well. and it has excellent traction.

Front seats have original vinyl but the driver seat has some tears. Rear seat is a good core.

BeQuiet sound deadener in floors so it's pretty quiet.

New gas tank/sender/ straps

New heater core and heater assembly rebuilt. sandblasted and repainted inside and out.

All new wiring with Summit universal kit. Includes added headlamp relays and a large fused fan relay.

Kenwood CD with Aux/HD radio/USB – Rockford Fosgate 40 amp with 8 speakers.

Optima yellow top battery in trunk.

Clock. temp gage. amp gage work and fuel level gages. wipers. lighter all work.

Cluster oil pressure gage is not hooked up but the aftermarket gage works well as does the aftermarket volt gage.

All chrome and trim that is there is in good condition but is all original. so chrome has some fading and emblems could be repainted. Missing hood trim and side trim

Original speedo works. but reads 80 mph when going 50 mph. Will be close if the 2. 75 gear is installed.

At some point. the previous owner added a third pedal. I'd guess it was a race car in the past but I have no history.

Car is pretty well sorted.  I bought it last summer and spent the winter and spring changing some things around. wiring the car. cleaning it up and making it run like it should. It still needs cosmetic work. but it is lots of fun to drive. user friendly. reliable. and a great sleeper.  I spent several days on Woodward this summer it will idle all day in traffic and the warmer it is outside. the better it runs.
