THIS VEHICLE IS RESTORED. I FOUND OUT AFTER LISTING THE CAR FOR SALE THAT IT HAD A BRANDED TITLE. THEY SENT ME AN AUTOCHECK NOTICE THAT THERE WAS WATER DAMAGE FILED WITH AN INSURANCE CARRIER 15 YEARS AGO. THEY ALSO SHOW MY TITLE TO REFLECT THIS. WHICH IS THE LAST TITLE FROM 2014. I WAS UNAWARE OF THE BRAND AND AM DISPUTING IT WITH NEW JERSEY. HOWEVER. THERE IS A LIMIT OF TIME BETWEEN PURCHASING THE CAR AND SUBMITTING THE TITLE FOR A REVIEW AND ADJUSTMENT. I BOUGHT THE CAR SIX YEARS AGO AND I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL MY INTITIAL LISTING WITH EBAY THAT THERE WAS A BRAND. I HAVE REMOVED ONE OF THE PHOTOS AND REPLACED IT WITH A PICTURE OF THE EMAIL EBAY SENT ME. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO ADD OR SUBTRACT FROM THIS LISTING. I HAVE ADJUSTED OPENING PRICE DOWN. BUT I AM UNSURE WHERE ELSE TO GO WITH THIS. MY INITIAL PRICE ON THE CAR WAS $18. 00. I AM A PROFESSIONAL RESTORER. I OWN A 944-ONLY SHOP. I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM SOMEONE I KNEW AND TRUSTED. HE HAD JUMPED TITLE AND DIDN'T KNOW HIMSELF. MY LACK OF DUE DILIGENCE IS GOING TO RESULT IN SOMEONE GETTING THE DEAL OF A LIFETIME ON A SUPER NICE 951.
THE CAR IS 100% AS I LISTED AND DESCRIBED IT BELOW. I WELCOME QUESTIONS. BUT I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE THIS LISTING IF I GET THE TITLE CORRECTED. SELL THE CAR LOCALLY OR JUST PLAIN DECIDE TO KEEP IT.
This is a very well sorted 86 Turbo. The car was purchased about six years in pieces ago and underwent a reassembly in our 944 specialty shop. The car was a 40th birthday present for my wife so when I rebuilt it. I tried to turn over every last stone to get it as perfect as I could. There is nothing on the car that is "broken" but there are a few items left that I still. two years later. haven't finished. I will do my best to give the best description I can and I would entertain performing some or all of the completing steps for a discounted shop rate after a discussion. But. as it stands. the car is being sold as it sits. It's perfectly fine as a daily driver so. but again. there are a few items left that should be attended to. The car was completed and gifted to my wife in October of 2014. I have (my wife only drove it once - too fast. not comfortable with manual trans) put 850 miles on it in 2 1/2 years. When I discuss condition and items and describe them as "new" they were new when I installed them 2 years ago and have seen less than 1. 00 miles of use in all cases.
The car won best 944 Turbo at 944Fest last year and has been featured in several articles - I can't post the links in this ad but I will gladly send them to you if you email me.

So the paint that you see on the car is original. It's not been resprayed. there's no body work at all. There is no significant damage on the car. There are probably 5-6 chips or dings and 3-4 edges where the detailer compounded through the paint to the primer. There is not a spot of rust on the car. The interior. also is all original. There are no cracks in the dash. There are no tears in the seats. There are no seams that are pulling apart. The car is on 3 piece BBS RS wheels. 16 x 7" and 16 x 8". The wheels have no curb rash. The tires are nothing special. but have tons of life in them - probably about 1500 miles since new. They are ZR rated and were take offs from a car that was refitted with 17" rims. you could drive them for another 30. 00 miles or recycle them. That's up to you.
The car has new Zimmerman slotted and drilled rotors and new EBC pads on all four corners. The brake lines are new and they are braided and jacketed. The car has reloadable M030 suspension with new Koni struts in the front and new Koni adjustable shocks in the rear.  The car has a new M030 front sway bar. The rear torsion and sway bars were left. stock. but the torsion bars were indexed down 1. 25"The car has a freshly rebuilt torque tube with new bearings/The transmission is not LSD but was completely serviced by Marc Cantillo and rebuilt prior to being installed in the car. It's filled with Swepco 201 and has. like everything else. under 1. 00 miles on it. It has an oil cooler. The car has no play in the shifter. It has a traditional shifter on the trans side but the actual shifter has been replaced and shortened 3/4" - it has a slightly shorter throw and zero slop. The fuel lines are new. braided lines. The injectors were all rebuilt and flow matched by witchhunter. All the wiring harnesses have been replaced. The turbo is a K26/6 rebuilt by GPop with a custom coldside wheel and and a mild hotside clip. It can make 350HP - I only have the car tuned for 270. The head was rebuilt by IDS in Mayetta (they are a Nascar shop. but they happen to have all of the Sunnen equipment and an intimate knowledge of Nikasil and Alusil) The head had a very mild surfacing a 3 angle valve job. new springs. new seats. new guides. All the bearings and seals in the motor are completely new.  Belts. water pump. rollers. new (less than 1000 miles)All of the plumbing is polished. All of the water and vacuum is Lindsey Silicone. New motor mounts. New tie rod ends. New Ball joints. New SACHS 951Cup clutchNew clutch masterNew clutch slaveNew hard and blue lines for the clutch
Inside the carpet is excellent. the seats are excellent and the dash is perfect. The interior is linen. so it's hard to keep up with if you're not on top of it and it shows exceptionally well for what that's worth.  There is some rubbing on the lower. outer bolster on the driver seat. That's it. All the other seats and surfaces are rip. tear. seam stretch and stain free.  The headliner is excellent.  The door skins are excellent.  The rear seat is excellent. I had CoCo Mats made for the car - All four seating positions. plus a hatch liner and a section to cover the rear when the seat is folded forward. They are black with linen dots. They are like new - if you don't know look it up. This is a $1000 set of floor mats. The car has new speakers and a new Sony head unit. It is not a crazy sound system but it is clean and clear. it is Bluetooth to your phone for calls and Pandora. Spotify. ESPN. whatever. No aux. just get in the car and you're connected. The lights are tuned and match the car's interior. The dash has LEDS. all the gauges and interior lights work.
These are the things I know to need attention - They are the items I would address for a few bucks after the sale or any competent mechanic can sort them very quickly. The entire power steering system was rebuilt. Fresh pump. all lines and the rack. It doesn't leak a drop. but it is sticky sometimes. The rack sat in my shop for a while before I installed it and I feel like it's gummed up. It's not the pump and it isn't the lines. It needs to flushed with diesel and then bled and then refilled with Pentosin or ATF and should be good. However. it never really made the urgent list for me so I just never did it. The sunroof doesn't open or close. I don't know if there's power to the motor. if the gears are stuck. both. neither. if it's a switch. I don't know. I guess if it was a make/break item on a sale. I could figure it out. but again. never made the urgent list for me.  I never charged the A/C. The compressor comes on. the fans switch on and the lines were all disconnected to rebuild the motor and then reconnected. The system should be vacuumed down and then can be filled and charged with 134. If my wife ever actually drove the car. this is something I would have done. but it's not something I do at my shop so for the few times I drove the car. it wasn't something I ever attacked. Finally. if you drive the car hard and for a long time - let's say an hour - there seems to be a single drop of oil comeing from the rear of the cam tower and dripping onto the crossover pipe. This is something that has to get worked out because oil on an exhaust smells terrible. It's not all the time and it doesn't leak on the floor but it's there.
I think that's a pretty complete listing. I'm going to post some pictures to give you an idea of what the car looks like. It isn't perfect. but it's a really solid example of a pretty well-sorted 951. I'll answer questions as best as I can.

For the record. if you are familiar with 944s and 951s. you may actually know me. My name is Jason and I own and operate R7 Racing & Restoration which is a 944 specialty shop. If you look up Jason G and Multibriefs on Google. you'll find some articles by and about me. I've been around a while there a lot of my cars out there running around. I'm straight forward. I will be moving out of state and. sadly. closing my shop and moving on to other things. I will be keeping my race car and one or two project cars. but all of the other 944s and 951s I have are available for sale so keep your eyes open.
I also have a 1983 NA in great shape. Guards on Black with staggered Fuchs. a 1987 951. Almond Metallic (Gold) on Chocolate with 993 Turbo Twists and a 1986 NA Garnet on Linen. sunroof delete all available.

**** Finally. I added 3 pictures at the end because someone stole a center cap from the BBS rims. I replaced them with new. BBS caps. but I bought red. So the wheels have red caps. not black.
