1940 Chevrolet Pickup - Hot Rod - All Steel - Full QLD Registration - QLD Mod Plated - Immaculate Cruiser - Show Car

- Up for sale I have a beautifully built 1940 Chevrolet Pickup. this is an absolutely immaculate hot rod/ cruiser with huge money spent. The pickup is registered with 6 months full QLD registration. QLD mod plates. and current QLD road worthy certificate.

- The pickup has a rebuilt 400ci V8 and turbo 400 auto trans. The engine is all polished with an Edelbrock inlet manifold. 4-barrel Edelbrock carb. ceramic block huggers. MSD leads. HEI distributor. polished valve covers. The engine and trans has been rebuilt and runs and shifts fantastic.

- The pickup still has its standard chassis rails. which have been upgraded with a Mustang II IFS front end with power disc brakes and rack and pinion steering. In the rear the original diff has been swapped for a later model Chev 10 bolt with air shocks. it also has a brand new drive shaft.

- The body is all original and all steel including all fenders and steps. the bodywork and paint on the truck is incredible and almost flawless. As you can see in the pictures the bodywork is fantastic and the paint has been blocked and sanded to a flat glassy finish. In addition to the pickups beautiful exterior. the bed. engine bay. interior panels and underside of the truck have all been body worked. painted and finished just as well as the exterior. Additionally the pickup has some tasteful hand painted pin stripping along the body lines. on the headlights. tailgate and rear of cab.

- The bed of the pickup contains the new fuel tank and fuel pump concealed in custom boxes. it has custom chrome bed strips with hidden hardware. and a smoothed tailgate. which still opens and closes if required. The firewall of the truck has been fully smoothed and body worked to be perfectly smooth. with all hidden wiring. The bumpers have been cut and trucked into the body with all bolts shaved and then been rechromed.

- The pickup has all new tinted glass and retains the factory style wind out front windscreen. which hinges from the top. In addition the factory air vent behind the bonnet is now electrically controlled to open and close.  

- The interior of the pickup has been tastefully retrimed from top to bottom. with custom trimmed seats. carpet and headliner. The original dash has been smoothed and painted. the original gauges have been replaced with all new Moon Eyes gauges which work great. It has a Lokar floor mount shifter. a GM tilt column. Lokar hand brake and later model sterio system. Later model seat belts have also been installed for improved safety.

- It has a nice set of colour matching 15” smoothie wheels. with trim rings. baby moon caps. and brand new Coker Classic's on the front and good BFGoodrich wide whitewalls on the rear.

- The truck has been rewired from front to back. converted to 12v with a brand new battery behind the seats. All lights. indicators. etc work as they should.

- The pickup has been certified and mod plated in QLD for the engine. trans. front suspension. steering. brakes. diff etc. the pickup also has 6 months full QLD registration and a current QLD road worthy certificate.

- This is an incredible custom truck with a great old-school style combined with modern additions to improve safety and drivability. The chassis work and driveline makes the pickup drive and handle beautifully. The truck would be an awesome cruiser or could easily hold its own at any hot rod or custom car show.
