1942 Chevy custom rat rod pickup. ground-up custom fabrication. A lot of quality work. labor. and fabrication has gone into this one-of-a-kind build.

Finished in Root beer colored patina (including two faux 100 dollar bills). this 1942 custom has a 12-inch “Z”‘d frame drop in the front with a 22-inch step up for the frame in the rear. '42 Chevy pickup grille sits on top of a custom suicide front end. Curtis style radius rods help stabilize the front end. The headlights have custom brackets and are mounted on the grill at a 90 degree angle. The single cab has been channeled. while both doors have had all the glass removed. The narrowed “shorty” custom bed features a period hot rod “Moon” aluminum fuel tank. modified wheel wells and a “DTM” rear wing.

Inside. the black vinyl sport seats present well and are. separated by a custom long Hurst shifter and period shift knob. A custom metal console that houses a Pioneer stereo set-up. The “Grant” style 3-spoke steering wheel is a quick release. The pinstriped dash finish matches the exterior. custom Equus water. volt and oil gauges.

This rat rod Chevy is equipped with a chrome accessorized and nicely equipped 350cid Chevrolet V8 engine fed by a Edelbrock 1406 4-barrel carburetor. Weiand Team G intake. polished air cleaner. valve covers and  F. B. I. Lake style straight pipe headers. Power is transferred to the wheels by a 4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. This small block is kept cool by a Flex fan and a radiator mounted electric fan. In the front. 15-inch polished 5 spoke rims with 165/80 15 tires and Spirit of America racing rims with 29 x 12. 50 R17 Hoosier radial tires in the rear.
