JAGUAR XJ 6 Series 1. 4. 2 Auto
This beautiful one family owned. matching numbers. Series 1 XJ 6 was discovered in April this year languishing in the back of a Barn.
It has had minimal work to
remove old fuel. a new header tank. heater valve. service. Mot etc
It was bought
by Mr Grey in 1972 owner of a local haulage firm. he owned it until his death. when his son
took over the ownership
it was used once for a wedding then parked back in its barn until earlier this year.
Mr Greys son could not travel in the Jaguar as a child as it made him very ill. so the car has only covered 50433 miles.
Mr Grey had his
own trusted team of mechanics to service the car during his period of ownership. I have the Tax discs for most of the cars life and various books.
This is an extremely nice well presented example of an XJ 6 series 1 4. 2. fitted with the auto gearbox a far better option than a manual. it retains its original wheels that have been refurbished. It looks to have had some paint in its past 44 years. some could have been better but it has a nice patina. The only part of the interior to show damage is the drivers door arm rest that was bitten by Mr Greys dog years ago. The car still retains its spare key screwed underneath the bonnet from new never having been removed.
This car has never been welded or restored.

The DVLA made an error when registering the car from new and registered it as an XJ 6 2. 8. I have spoken to them and they will amend this error on
there part when the
V 5 gets sent to them with the new owners details.
The chassis number is correct for a 4. 2 and confirmed by Jaguar heritage as a genuine XJ 6 4. 2
