I've decided to sell Elizabeth. amed in memory of her original owner. Elizabeth laws williams of Salisbury Maryland purchased this 1967 ford country squire on the 17th of May 1967 from the J H Perdue & sons dealership of Snow Hill Maryland. I have the original dealer booklet with all this information and the original build sheet. This is a matching numbers survivor car with great patina. It has never been welded or repaired structurally and is completely solid. In fact the more you look the more you realise how original this car is. This I believe is due to even though Elizabeth used the car as her family daily driver apparently she wouldn't use it in bad weather. She drove this car from the day she bought it in 67 until the year she passed away in 2006. Elizabeths mechanic who had looked after the car for her for many years and  who's daughter named her after Elizabeth then bought it from her estate. After some time he rebuilt the engine with hardened valve seats for unleaded rebuilt the C6 transmission and refurbished the carburettor. Other than that its its had a little paint touch up here and there but essentially very original. So that's a bit of insight and history. Ok so it's a 1967 Ford country squire matching numbers factory 390ci big block speced with two barrel carburettor with electric choke producing 290HPHas the C6 trans and factory air conditioning. actory power steering. actory power brakes. About the only thing not working is the air con and the clock. have the pulley and bracket and I'm sure with it bolted back on a belt and regas it would work as the whole system looks in tacked. I personally imported the car myself after searching for a really good one here but was always disappointed by what I found. In my ownership all the brakes have been renewed and the heating system gone through. Mainly vacuum pipes ect but now heater blows hot and cold and clears the screen and warms your feet. Doesnt sound much but just makes driving this superb old ford that much more pleasurable. The blue engine cold light still works as it should and fuel gauge is very accurate. Engine and box are as sweet as you like. tarts instantly oil light out immediately no tapping . moke. eaks or oil use at all. Like a Swiss watch with silky gear shifts it just drives so smooth it's effortless. On MOT there was not an ounce of play anywhere in any bush or joint not a clunck to be heard. It has dual exhausts that sound nice but on the move you can't hear a thing very quiet. Interior totally original supportive seats in excellent condition no rips or tears a slight bit of unstitching on the headlining near the back but it's minor. It's the six seat model as I wanted to go lpg so where the pop up seat would be is plenty of room for a big lpg tank or air tanks or what ever. Boot space is huge and it has the magic tailgate. wings out or folds down like a pickup with an electric rear window. I have the original wheel trims which are again in lovely condition and a set of steels wouldn't be hard to find if the mag slots are not your thing. The spare is there with the jack and brace ect. The slots are damage free and would polish to a high finish and the tires are new. I have a set of cast vintage aluminium roof rack brackets. Elizabeths mechanic was using his grandmas wooden bed slats so he wanted to keep those but a wooden roof rack would be simple to make if you wanted to carry that vintage long board. As a side note I'm averaging 19mpg combined driving and to sum up a Superb very original wagon with potential to make it as you see fit. laquer and wax oil to preserve it from the elements reserve the patina rat it or paint for a clean look. Even the original radio works and all the body mouldings are complete. two new pressed American style black number plates will be fitted before car is sold. It won't disappoint. Thanks for taking the time to read all this any more you need to know call me on 07770602106(Mike)viewing encouraged so you know for yourself. Thanks for looking.
