1964 Büssing B200 4x4 command car -  Borgward
I purchased this from a customer and I don't know much about the vehicle. The first pic was taken by the owner 30 years ago and is what this is supposed to look like. The previous owner died so I purchased it from his wife. They owned it for over 30 years. They decided to restore the vehicle. I do know the complete drive train was rebuilt and wiring restored. The vehicle was painted but all is not been repainted. what you see in the pics is what you get. The engine looks like new. all hoses were replaced. Its a 24 volt system. The wife said it was running a month before he died. It has a Florida title. I think most of the parts are there and so is the convertible top. It needs to be put back together. I found two for sale in germany for 25k and up. This is a one of a kind 4x4 suv.
B 2000 A/O ( A=Allrad. O=Ottomotor ) (1955 - 1961) and (1962 - 1968 Büssing).  The B 2000 A/O is a model with which Borgward went in competition with the other German truck factories to deliver a truck that could be used by the Bundeswehr (land-forces). These vehicles which had a four-wheel drive. This truck was powered by a six cylinder petrol engine of 2337 cc. (from 1960 2224 cc. ) with 82 bhp. It was manly delivered as a truck which could transport men. a small part of the production was made with only a cabin. These trucks could later be provided with several constructions such as a break-down lorry. kitchen truck  or command car.
After Borgward went bankrupt in 1961 Büssing toke over the factory and the truck was made there until 1968. only without the Borgward emblem.
