Ferrari 328 GTS Spider Mirror Black Paint Belt service in May 2013 Tools Jack for sale
Current customer rating: (492 votes ) based onThis is striking 328 GTS with a mirror like finish to its back paint as you can see in the photos. Notice how the Palm trees and surrounding bushes reflect in the paint. (Note the $500. 00 SLR Roadster in the background. and note how the Ferrari is prettier and more exotic looking!)
See a video of the car I shot with my camcorder here: youtube. com/watch?v=I4mdRwrBqU0
A timing belt service was just completed 6-6-2013 and included new synthetic motor oil. oil filter. anti-freeze. freon. turning of the brake rotors. etc.
*PLEASE do not bid. make offers or use the Buy It Now if you are not ready. able or willing to follow through with the purchase. Using Buy It Now. a best offer that is accepted or being the final high bidder creates a binding and enforceable contract. The car was "sold" before and the Ebay buyer redmagma1 failed to come through with the money and without any objections to the car itself. On the contrary. after the listing ended with him contracting to purchase the car he saw the car and said it was in "excellent condition" and even better than he thought it would be!!! Unfortunately not everyone who wants a Ferrari can afford one so please make sure your financing is in place before bidding. (If you want the specific details including the Buyers who failed to follow through send me a PM. Ebay no longer permits Seller's to leave negative feedback about Buyers so their perfect feedback histories are not really accurate. )
This is a rare black on black model. 1987 328 GTS in excellent condition and with low miles for a 26 year old sports car (about 1. 00 miles a year).
The original took kit and jack and jack kit with bag are included as is an uprated stereo (which I have never turned on thanks to the great sounding Ferrari engine's music).
If you are looking to buy a 328 then you probably already know these cars are appreciating in value and Ferraris that are the successor to the Dino are a blue chip investment. The 328 is the last true Enzo era car as Enzo Ferrari died in 1988 and this car is a 1987. They were truly hand-built cars and are nothing like the cars that came after. You realize this immediately when you close the door which shuts with a more solid thunk than a Mercedes.
This year's auction results for Ferraris is nothing short of staggering. with a Dino selling for more than half a million dollars. For this who know Ferrari. not only is the 328 the literal successor to the Dino. right down to its basic chassis layout and construction. but it drives much like a Dino only better. It is. after all. nothing more than an evolution of the Dino.
Ferrari auction results this year show Ferraris are a very good investment as they are appreciating rapidly and much more tangible than stocks!

England's Car Magazine calls the 328 “poetry in motion” and “the doyen of exotic car shapes”.
Classic & Sports Car Magazine put it simply: “The sublime purity of this ‘70s design icon still enraptures. whereas the intrigue of latter day Ferraris is expressed with extraneous styling gimmicks. few will ever mature as favorably as the 328. ”
With 246 Dino's selling for $300. 00 to $400. 00 and more. it's no wonder the Ferrari 328. that is based on the same chassis and built the same way as the Dino and designed by the same artist/designer (Leonardo Fioravanti) and which marks the literal end of the Enzo Ferrari era. would be appreciating in value. The 328 is the end of the evolution of the 246. In many ways it is just like driving a Dino but better. They are better built and faster thanks to the all aluminum V8 which replaced the Fiat based iron block V6 found in the Dino. The driving experience is nearly the same and its clear they're from the same genetic line.
The 328 is arguably the easiest Ferrari to maintain. It has a German based fuel injection system used on BMW and Mercedes during that same era so its service is simple. The engine is rugged and bulletproof and unlike some of the later Ferrari. the engine is serviced in the car and does not need to be removed. There are no fancy modern computer systems so there's little to go wrong. The 328 is simply a stunning looking rugged and reliable exotic investment whose value is going up.
The interior is in very nice shape and looks exceptional. There are no defects in the dash.
The 328/308 series looks exceptional from every angle. The 458 is a beautiful car but when you park the 328 next to it you realize the 328 is like an Armani suit or even a thoroughbred race horse: It's lines are so pure and trim. The 328 was designed in an era where the artist/stylist was free to create. That era. thanks to modern legislation. is gone forever. The 328. link the Dino. is a true work of art.
Interestingly. many Ferrari experts believe the 328 was the best of the recent Ferraris. They are cheap to run. rugged. don't break down and you could spend hours just staring at them.
According to Road & Track. the 328 weighed at least 100 lbs less than a 308 yet made more than 30 hp more than the 308. When Car and Driver tested a 328 it went from 0-60 in 5. 6 seconds. Autocar in England recorded 5. 5 seconds.
In July of 2002. Classic & Sports Cars (well-respected British publication) reviewed. among others. the Ferrari 328. and stated: “drive one and you'll realize it is the best of the late 80's Ferraris. far superior to the entry level Mondial. Miami Vice poseur Testarossa or the wooden-chassised 348. Styling wise. its an evolution of the 308 and is a shape that is clean. unfussy and pure Ferrari. The addition of fresher looking front and rear restyles…At driving speeds. the experience is pure 308. There's that familiarly light and communicative steering and the urgent engine. which. though uninspiring at first. transforms into pure drama as the revs rise. Once you start to push on in the 328. the improvements over the earlier car show themselves and the 328 reveals itself as a true supercar. With 30 hp more than the last of the 308s. performance is truly astounding. yet the car is always composed and refined. and the brakes. though this is a pre-ABS car. always provide huge retardation. Another joy is the viceless handling and grip from those fat. low profile tires. ”
If you appreciate rolling sculpture. and as shown by the photos. that's what this car is.
The 328 was designed by artists; cars today are designed by artists and then dramatically altered in the wind tunnel and to meet stringent government regulations. The 328 was the last pure Ferrari whose lines are pure magic.
Ferrari expert Tom Shaughnessy suggests the 328 is the best starter Ferrari. Speaking of the car that came before the 328 and which was refined into the 328. the 308. Shaughnessy noted: “A good 308. when properly serviced. will easily last 100. 00 miles or more. ” Shaughnessy also noted that parts for the 308 are affordable while parts for the 348 or 355 are “absolutely ridiculous. ” He went on to state of the 308: “It is the only Ferrari I would recommend as a daily driver. The V8 engine is virtually indestructible and the model line has been around for a decade. This is Ferrari's utility car. ” The same is true for the 328. only more so.
High bidder is entering into legally binding contract so ask questions before bidding/buying and the car is sold AS IS.
