. Before I start I want to point out that anything that looks like a detractor in any of the photos are not.   Some of the "reflections" might appear to be blemishes. but they are not.

I bought this 2001 MR2 Spyder in 2011 with 17k miles on it from a collector who had 11 MR2 Spyders. and over 40 TransAms & Firebirds.   He had just started to liquidate his collection due to poor health.   I bought this one because it was the only Red one. and also had the lowest mileage. and the cleanest.   At the time I purchased a powertrain warranty thru my Credit Union. just to be safe. but I never had any issues at all.   In the 5+ years I've owned it. and nearly 40k miles. I've not had one mechanical problem.   I would get in it tomorrow and head for either coast without a 2nd thought.

Anyone reading this probably knows all the specifications about these great cars. but I'm here to tell you they are about the most fun on 4-wheels you can have without breaking the bank. while at the same time. being bullet-proof. and delivering 30+ mpg. no matter how you drive it. city or hwy.   I'm 67 and recently bought a Gen one Mini Cooper S Convertible to make my "retirement" car as it has a bit more storage space. and is easier to get in an out of.

When I bought it. it was bone stock.   I've added an Aftermarket Exhaust (sounds great with no "droning"). a cold air intake (which changed the sound more than the exhaust). and a rear spoiler. which I had our body shop (I work for BMW) color match (perfectly) to the car.   I've recently (w/n the last 2. 00 miles put new tires on it)  I also put a set of high-line seat covers on it)  as I hated the stock cloth seats. and the driver's bolster was getting frayed.   I had one rim that had some light "curb" rash on it and I had one of our vendors refurbish it. and it looks like new.   The other three were great.   I've been trying to get our PDR guy to take out a handful of light hail dings (won't show up in photos) before I sold it. but they've been overwhelmed with business. that I haven't been able to get it done.   His estimate was between $200 and $300.   If bought and we could get it done before shipping. I will have it done for a max of $300.   They're barely noticeable. but really wanted to have them taken care of before listing so I didn't have to list it this way.   That said. the car has clear-bra material on the hood and full front bumper.

It's getting harder and harder to find these cars with under 60k miles and not been cut into or hacked up.   There's so much that can be done if you want. you have a blank canvas to start with.   I would encourage anyone that is interested to call me (719) 210-9050 up to 10 pm Mountain Time. or e-mail me at jda4132@hotmail. com.

   Thank you for looking. Bob.
