Austin A30 4 Door 1954 57k Full Mot Fully Restored Fortune Spent Gorgeous. A35 for sale

Welcome to the sale of our gorgeous baby Austin A30 4 door that we have affectionately nicknamed Cappuchino.

First registered in 1954 making him 62 years old and is a matching numbers standard car. running the original engine and gearbox.

The registration number is the original one and is transferable if you want to take it off. It even wears its original number plates which are still in great condition from when the car was new

We believe the mileage to be genuine at 57000 and have some old mots and service receipts etc which never show the mileage being any higher. We also have the original stamped buff log buff. as well as a modern V5 in my brothers name.

The car has just undergone a major restoration and there really isn't much that hasn't been renewed. replaced. refurbished or repainted.

It's had a lovely. full inside and outside respray in the original beige colour with top quality two pack paint. and we decided to add an Old English White roof and bumpers to match the new blasted and powder coated wheels.

Brand new radial tyres have been fitted all round including the spare wheel. The original jack and starting handle is also in the fully painted and carpeted boot.

New windscreen. rear screen and side rubber seals have been fitted as well as new fur flex and rubber door seals all round. so no leaky windows and doors when you wash the car. New wipers too.

It's had a complete brand new wiring loom including a new Lucas regulator and headlight switch as well as new ignition switching panel. Regular flashing indicators have been added to the fully working trafficators to aid safety on the road.

A complete brand new exhaust system has been fitted with cute chrome tail pipe.

All the brakes have been overhauled with new cylinders. shoes and seals where needed and the car brakes as good as it ever did when new!

The engine has had an overhaul too and happily runs on un-leaded petrol without the need for addatives.

All new gaskets. fan belt. radiator cap etc so he doesn't leak anything from any orifice! (At the moment)

The original seats have been refurbished and although the rear seat is a bit flat (they always were) they are in good condition with nice white piping all round.

A new carpet set has been fitted which was with the car when we bought it in grey (I would have bought a red set personally)  and the head lining has been re newed in a funky beige tartan check which looks fabulous!

The chrome brightwork is pretty good but as always there is some pitting on the door handles and boot hinges etc. These are available still if you wanted them as new. The chrome grill is lovely which is rare on these old A30's. and he's sporting a pair of chrome brows on the headlights.

Although being a 1954 and exempt from mot. I took it for a test anyway and apart from having one of the new tyres running in the wrong direction it passed with no advisories. (The spare I put in the boot was running the right way so I've swapped it now)

It has had bits and bobs welded underneath in the past but this has been done very well. and well undersealed so should last a good few years and it certainly doesn't need any welding now.

Cappuchino drives as well as anyone could expect a 62 year old Austin to drive. it's great fun and gets loads of attention everywhere you go. Everybody loves it and has a story to tell from owning one or learning to drive in one etc so be prepared to take longer on your journey and enjoy the attention!

It's not the cheapest one you will see for sale as these almost always come as projects or rolling restorations but if you want one without having to do any work yourself then this is the one to go for.

As with all classic cars there will always be bits and bobs that need doing along the way but we have done as much as we can for now and you will not be disappointed with this car.

Please bare in mind if you do not own or drive a classic car that these lovely old things don't drive. brake. accelerate. steer or ride like a modern car. They can be challenging but great fun and its a totally different experience to modern driving. No power steering. no central locking. no ABS. no electric anything!

We can help you with delivery if required after full payment has been received and arrangements made in advance. You do not need to collect on a trailer it will drive anywhere all be it slowly!

Call Tony on 07495 668374 to view or with questions and the car can be viewed in either the S25 Dinnington or DN11 Doncaster postcode areas.

Open to sensible offers around the asking price but please don't bother with insulting low offers as they will be ignored. To get a cheaper project car to this standard yourself and paying labour costs etc would cost a lot more than we are asking so please bare that in mind.

I have a 1957 2 door Austin A35 too. ask for details if interested. beautiful car. bit cheaper too.

May part exchange another interesting classic car or project. Give us a try.
