In the 1960's the Lincoln Division was determined to make the finest mass-produced domestic automobiles of its time.   The flagship model Continental was the pinnacle of these efforts and a design and sales success right from the start.  The most recognized feature of the Continental was the rear-hinged "suicide doors" last seen in 1951 Lincolns.
