For sale is a very rare 1970 Mercury Monterey Convertible with 82 500 original miles.  A Real head turner get tons of thumbs up when driving around!  1 of only 581 Mercury Monterey convertibles made in 1970.  
With the original 390 ci 2V V8  and c6 auto trans. Dual exhaust (which sounds great! really nice low rumble). Power disc brakes and Power steering. Mint black vinyl interior with all the power options working including the stereo.  The electric power top works perfectly and goes up or down in 15-20 seconds.  
The paint is red and partially faded which gives it a nice patina. The body. frame and undercarriage are very solid but the bottom corners of the door skins have rust (see pictures) but are solid. Could use a new weatherstripping (window seal).  

A full service has been done to the car with all new fluids. new water pump. fuel pump. air filter. PCV. wipers. Dist Cap/rotor. Coil. AC Delco Battery. New fuel tank. carburetor. plugs. wires. brakes. shocks and bushings.  aftermarket tachometer and stereo (hidden under dash) with 220 watt speakers that sound great.  New black vinyl top with /tonno cover.  New Hancook Tires with Original hubcaps.  
The car comes with the original build sheet. brochure +manuals and documentation.  
The car runs and drives like a dream. It is ready to cruise stylishly and comfortably around town.
