porsche 911 3.2 carrera targa sport g50 stunning condition

1989 911 3. 2 carrera sport targa in guards red g50 box.
Last owner 18 years completely original car. I just had to buy it purely because it was so genuine and un messed with. Something I always look for when choosing a car.

The original paint was looking a little faded when I bought it so I took the decision to have a full strip and re spray in the original guards red at my local well respected body shop at a cost of a few thousand pounds
Ive taken 100+ before and after photos of every stage of the restoration.

But as you know it doesnt end there. In having perfect paint i wanted perfect everything else so every rubber/plastic trim is new. New genuine window rubbers. metal trims. Sill rubbers bumper rubbers rear light lenses targa rubbers gaskets you name it ive renewed it. I have all reciepts. everythings come from design911.

I have the fully painted whale tail boot lid wrapped in a box . Ive changed it because I personally think targas look far better without. ruins the beautiful lines over the rear quaters with a tea tray sticking out. but thats me. So I sorced a mint engine lid and had it painted by the same guy. I also have the original wheels 6 and 7 fuchs with all good tread and in excellent condition . Ive only got the rear wheels for the car because I wanted to see what they looked like before I bit the bullet and bought all four. I just havent got round to buying the fronts. 199 each from design911. I have however bought the tyres being pirelli p zero nero n3's all round 255 rears and 205 fronts. I akso bought a stainless steel back box for the car.


Stacks of history and reciepts. Mainly lancasters cambridge and then specialists wgen the guy moved away from cambridge. drives perfectly. No smoke or rattles. it would love a decent run out as ive had it in my friends heated workshop since november 129k miles low owners
You can just tell its a good one.

The reason its not quite finished is simply. I just cant at the minute chuck anymore money at it. ive spent thousands on this car in parts and labour its almost ready to be enjoyed over summer. Ive done all the hard work. Just a few hundred quid more and its road legal. I cant bare to see it sit in storage of the coming months.

Pair of door sill steps. Plastic and a couple of other minor jobs.
Had all new oil castrol magnatec. fuel filter oil filter etc. I wax oil undersealed the far myself to a rediculous standard. But after spending a week of night wire brushing the underside I wanted it well covered so ive gone silly with waxoil etc. Just dont want any weather getting in after all the work thats been done. No rust anywhere. Its All been removed using new repair sections withreceipts and pictures to prove everything. i do have the car advertised elsewhere and reserve the right to remove it from auction.

Just to clarify. the only part of the car that had rust was the kidney bowl. drivers side. and the lower part of the door shut. it was banked up with mud in there. but luckily wasnt  bad. as mentioned. ive got the pictures of it before and after. all cut out. and the repairs and parts used. kidney bowl door shut. and section of outer sill.

 but other than that the whole car is solid. floors are like new. as was around the headlight bowls etc. (pictures of them in bare metal) as was the passenger side kidney bowl. i took more pictures today but could only fit 2 more on the listing. far better quality with it outside. if you want to see the others just ask.
