I've owned this extraordinary 1970. 914 twice. Once before we moved to Colorado. And the second time when we moved back to Wisconsin. And now we're moving back to Colorado again! One usually doesn't buy a car twice unless it's a very special car. And this one is. It's powered by a GA series 2. 0 with Webers. headers and a cam. The 5-speed with short shift kit is smooth as any 914 can be. The body work is in fine shape with no visible rust above or below that I can find. The paint ('70 Porsche Silver) is fresh. but not original to the car. I can't vouch for the actual miles but the clock says 99K. The interior is in above average condition and almost all of the seals are new as is the windshield. There's a brand new set of Perrelli P4s that have just been mounted and balanced. A previous owner had installed Tiger Paws and they handled horribly. Brakes are good and have steel braided lines in front. Oil cooler works amazing and the suspension is tight. I believe the car was originally set up to Auto Cross but it hasn't in the last 15 years that I'm aware of. At least neither I nor the person I sold it to (and bought it back from) every raced it. It shows absolutely no signs of abuse. Now here's are some of the things you should know. I removed the speakers and the radio with the intention of putting in a blank plate. The radio is just stuck back in the hole temporarily. If you want to put in your own radio it's ready to install. The sound the engine and the Webers make is awesome under power and in third gear the pull is amazing. No radio needed in my opinion. The clock does not work. The original oil temp gauge is inop but the Stewart Warner one works fine. Because of the headers there are no heat exchangers. There are probably some other minor items but I can't think of any at the moment. This is a car to be enjoyed for many years to come.
