1979 L 82 Corvette in spectacular condition and with only 55. 25 original

miles. This Corvette looks fantastic. runs great. and is an

excellent driver.

The car is totally solid with nice lines and no rust issues.

The Silver over Oyster is beautiful color combination that looks great on the car. It is also the correct and original color

scheme as verified by the codes on the trim tag. which is pictured

below. This Corvette is verified as an original and correct L 82

model by the fifth digit of the VIN. which is a "4" indicating the

L 82 engine. The car is absolutely loaded with describable options as

well as one can see in the extensive list of RPO codes above.

We have put about 40 miles on this Corvette and during that

time it ran great. was completely reliable. and a pleasure

to drive. The low original mileage is

verified not only by the condition of the car. but also the clear

Ohio title. pictured below. showing the mileage as "Actual"

as well as the documentation and records that come with the car. Please peruse all of the

photos. video. and information below to get a true sense of

how nice and clean this Corvette really is.

This Corvette comes with a great amount of records.

There are receipts totaling

almost $11. 00 including one receipt for $3. 91. 96

from the Chevrolet dealer for a new engine when the car had

49. 84 miles. Many of the receipts also have the mileage

recorded so they are also another great verification of the

low original mileage on the car.

As a side note. this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle.

We hand pick each car after careful inspection.

condition

Exterior

The Silver exterior is in fantastic driver condition. As one can

see in the photos the finish has a terrific gloss. deep shine. and

smooth finish. Both door open and shut nicely as do the hood and headlights. The N 90 aluminum wheels and center caps are in

beautiful condition with a brilliant finish. The tires have about

80% tread let and are correctly sized 255/60 R 15.

There are a few small marks on the right front wheel arch and tiny blemishes around car

that were too tiny to show up in pictures. but nothing else that

is really noticeable from about five or ten feet away. As one can see in the many photos of the underside of

the car. it is very clean and this Corvette has absolutely NO RUST ISSUES. The frame is totally

solid with no rust around the "key hole" are in front of the

rear tire and I have seen no evidence of corrosion around the

windshield. which are the two most notorious spots for rust on a

C 3 Corvette.

The car looks just as good in person as it does

in the photos.

Interior

The

Oyster interior in this Corvette is in spectacular

original condition. The seats are in excellent condition

with no excessive wear. just some small marks in the typical

area where the driver gets in and out.

Please note that these are the original seats and skins. not

some cheap aftermarket covers or replacements. This is

especially important on this car because this style of seat

cover no longer is made and replacements are not available. The carpet is

good original condition with no stains. rips. or holes. This includes

the rear carpet. which is often neglected. The door panels are in wonderful shape

overall and. unlike many Corvettes of this age. they fit

well and tight to the door. There is some slight wear on the

drier's side door panel and a specific photo below. The door pulls are solid and

intact. The dash and console look awesome with no cracks or

sun fading. The jack and jack handle are still with the car.

stored correctly behind the passenger seat. and pictured

below showing the original decals on the compartment lid.

The original spare is still with the car. This Corvette has

never been smoked in there are no burns marks and no aroma

of cigarettes. Corvette interiors from this era are not

known to wear well. especially a light color like Oyster.

and the excellent condition of this original

interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and

attention this car has received throughout its life and

another great verification of the low original mileage.

The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the

photos.

Mechanical

This

L 82 Corvette seems to be in excellent mechanical condition. As

stated above the engine in the car only has about 6. 00 miles on

it and was installed by a Chevrolet dealership and there are

$10. 87 in receipts so this L 82 C 3 was very well maintained over

the years. The car starts right away every time. runs well. and

idle smooth. It drives great and feels nice on the road and at

highway speeds. In the video below one can observe the car

accelerating on the highway up to about 70 mph. shifting through

all the gears. braking to stoplight. and going through some

curves. Please note that there are no vibrations or strange

noises and the car performs quite well overall. There is no blue

smoke when starting or driving the car. This Corvette has plenty

of power and is quite fast. Also. the engine compartment is

beautifully clean. detailed. correct and complete as one can see

in the photos. Even the smog pump and original

catalytic converter are still in place. We have put 40 miles on

this Corvette with absolutely no issues.

The radio works

as do all the exterior lights. horn. wipers. power windows. and

all of the gauges with the obvious exception of the clock. The

power locks work as does the power antenna. The blower works on

all speeds. The power antenna works. which is a very common

problems on this era Corvette. The a/c also works and blows

cold. One can observe the a/c compressor engaging properly in

the video. The vacuum system for the

headlights works correctly. Also. the headlights go up properly

with either the headlight switch or vacuum override switch.

video below. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure

it is to drive this car. especially with the T-tops out on a

beautiful day

The car runs and

drives as well as it looks

.

Overall Condition

Overall. this 1979 Corvette is in

magnificent driver condition. The higher performance and

high horsepower models like this L 82 always draw a

premium over their standard counterparts. The originality.

the many options. the

beautiful original color combination. the great overall condition. and the

extensive service records make this car especially important and

hard to duplicate. This Corvette always gets a ton of attention

driving down the road. It is apparent that the vehicle

has been well taken care of by its previous owners. The

prices of C 3 Corvettes have increased considerably over

the past several years. They are secure and wise

investments for a collector. One could easily enjoy this

vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the

purchase price with minimal effort.
