1969 Jaguar XJ6 series 1 2. 8 litre de luxe manual overdrive. in brown with beige leatherette interior. 65. 66 miles. 4 speed manual with fully working overdrive. only 4 previous owners.  
This Jaguar is in lovely working order having just gone straight through an MOT. After a spell in storage we have rebuilt the carbs and given her a clean up and she drive like a new car and quieter and smoother than a lot of new luxury cars out there.  
I believe the mileage to be genuine. as we have history and MOT's for the car up to the early 90's when it went into dry storage. It was then bought by the previous owner who restored it to the condition its in now. I bought it November 2011. freshly restored. and have used the car very little which is why i am now offering it for sale. The car really is in beautiful. original. out of the factory condition. the interior including the headlining is perfect. the chassis and bodywork are both free from any rust or rot and the engine runs well. If you know much about these jags. the 2. 8 litre car and manual box is quite rare and still provides plenty of power. more than enough to keep up with modern traffic. especially with the overdrive.
We have a Jaguar Heritage certificate confirming the cars history along with the original service book pack. service history stamp book and passport and owners manual. The only negative is that although the brown paintwork is lovely and shiny it has a few pimples where I think the paint has reacted with something. It really doesn't take away from the beautiful paintwork and i reckon a good bodyshop man could be able to flat them or buff them out. I just don't have the time to get it dealt with.

Hi,

Would I be able to view this car in the first week of the New Year? I'm not sure of the day exactly what day with holidays and celebrations but around the 4th say? Id be passing then so it would tie in nicely, I just wanted to see that it was still available to buy and also that you weren't away that week say before I made any definite plans.

If it would be possible to view the car and test drive that would be great!
