EXTERIOR
The desirable 635 CSi was delivered new from BMW to MGA Developments in 1982 to build the one-off Observer Coupé. Once the newly designed glass sliding roof and bespoke body kit were crafted and completed. the car was repainted in two-tone grey and finished off with the white ‘Observer Coupé' decals on the side and rear. Aside from a few discreet imperfections the 635 remains in excellent condition and presents with a deep lustful shine.

INTERIOR
The black leather upholstery presents in first-rate original condition. with the cockpit feeling exceptionally airy due to the unique panoramic roof. There are no signs of wear to any of the seats. the steering wheel and gearknob retain their factory textured finish. and the plastic trim remains in perfect. unmarked order. The carpets too are pristine. and the boot area is very clean and tidy.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Having covered a mere 18k miles from new the stock 3430cc straight-six remains in excellent mechanical order. Remaining dry stored for most of its life the engine bay has none of the usual corrosion issues associated with E24's on the inner wings and chassis rails. Since arriving at 4 Star the Observer has been treated to a full service including all fluids. filters. and plugs.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The Observer sits on a unique and stunning set of 16-inch dished alloys with polished faces. The wheels are completely unmarked and are shod in a matching set of Pirelli tyres. each showing little or no wear; the brakes also have plenty of meat left.

HISTORY FILE
This car comes with the most amazing history file that really must be seen to be believed. Every piece of paperwork has been kept detailing the car's development. build. with all the designs and photographs from when it was displayed at the NEC Motor Show in 1983. Also present in the paperwork you'll find the original BMW Document Pack. a raft of MOT certificates. plus maintenance invoices from when the car was in use. A couple of framed concept drawings are included as is an original Observer Coupé poster.
