Ok folks. time to use your imagination. Picture an early Spring day in 1958. a young mid-western farm boy with speed in his blood and a taste for adventure picks up a Model A for dirt cheap from a local farmer. He has big plans to shut down some of that fancy new iron parading around his hometown streets. But this build had to be functional as well as fast. no coupes or roadsters. this truck needed to haul feed and seed if necessary. after all this is farm country and the old man won't stand for no slackin'He begins to build a no nonsense speed machine. devoid of any fins or chrome. That fancy stuff doesn't help you go fast anyway. it just slows you down.  This young hot rodder had many sleepless nights dreaming of building up a Flathead for his hot little truck. but as fate would have it. plans changed. While picking up a set of wheels at the local yard to hang those new Firestone whitewalls on. he came across a freshly wrecked 57 Chevy. Turns out a late Spring frost on old County Road 5 spelled disaster for a young driver with more bravado than brains. The sleek new black Chevy was totaled but the motor and 3 speed were untouched.  With its lighter weight and modern over head cam design this hot new little Small block Chevy would run circles around those old heavy Flatheads and it did.
Fast forward to 2015 when this truck was built.  Using traditional parts and technique the look was re-created as if it was 1958. Many. many  hours were spent building and designing this truck. The builder wanted to stay true to the roots of Hot Rodding.  The only discernable difference separating the decades is the newer battery in the box (which is basically hidden anyway). This thing is legit.
I've put 1. 00 miles on it since completion and it runs good. sounds good and looks good! It goes down the road nice and isn't too loud with the baffles. but when you hit the loud pedal hang on and grab some gears! This is a bare bones hot rod no wipers. side glass or seatbelts. The body is solid and free from filler. it is "painted" red oxide primer which looks nice with the black accents. The floors are really fabricated nice. they are super solid with structural cross bracing throughout. The headlights. taillights and brake lights all work. It stops really good with the big '40 Ford juice brakes and it really moves out! Clean. Clear Minnesota Title in my name.  Feel free to contact me through eBay or call me directly. I will answer any questions you have. Thanks for looking!  Sam 1 (763) 300-0452
