Mk1 Capri X Pack 2. 8i also with 3 litre Oselli Engine & 3. 1 Wade Supercharger PROJECT

I have owned this car for over 20 years and have known the car since 1984 when it had an original RS 3. 1 with triple Webbers installed.

When I was younger she was my dream car and it has been a hard decision to sell her.

When I managed to finally get hold of her the previous owner had lost the 3. 1 engine.

A mate of mine had a rebuilt 2. 8i which had a few bits done to it like cam etc. the engine was run in a Mk3 for a bit and was fast and I ended up buying it put it into the Mk1 with the power steering and brakes which is in her at the moment.

I took the shell back to bare metal and found that the shell had never been welded apart from for the roof chop (although she now does need a small bit of welding done on the passenger A post). I just gave her a coat of white paint over the body (under the bonnet and the underneath of the car are blue) and parked her up in my garage safe and sound.

I managed to obtain a 3 litre Oselli engine. a very rare bit of kit; as well as a nearly new 3. 1 AVO low compression engine (still has homing marks which I bought from a rally team who bought it from the police I was told it had done less than 30. 00 miles) and brand new 3. 1 Wade R034/2670 Supercharger and manifold and pullys (at a cost of well over 2k) which I had planned to put into her but never got round to finishing. Unfortunately life got in the way and in recent years I have not had the opportunity to work on her or drive her like she deserves.

She has:

* the proper deep dish 4 spoke X-pack revolution wheels X4 plus 2 big 5 spoke rev's that are on the back at the moment

* Spax shocks all round but have also got spare front Bilsten shocks/struts to go with her with 2. 8 brakes/discs

* 3 litre Atlas back axle with anti tramp bars

* 2. 8 injection dash. carpet and centre console and alloy door cards

* home made crushed velvet roof lining in blue which has not been done very well by the previous owner (I just never got round to changing it)

* roll cage that fits the roof chop (although this is in the car I have not fitted it and does fit nicely)

* spare starter motor. single pice prop shaft. boot lid and a few bits and bobs

* I think its got a Janspeed exhaust

* the bonnet that is on it has been cut out for the supercharger which is the original flat bonnet. but I do have a spare bonnet to go with it that has the power bulge

* stating the obvious it has had a very slight roof chop which has was done professionally by the previous owner and has been done extremely well

* She needs a new windscreen as it is cracked but I know someone who is able to do this

* All the other windows are perspex and it has the rare opening rear quarter windows

* It has a full length Worbastow sunroof

* She has a 4 speed gearbox in her the one with reverse down by 2nd gear (the good one) and there is a spare gearbox that comes with the other 2 engines. supercharger and holly carb but I can't remember what type it is

* The Oselli engine is all together and bolts up to the spare gearbox with flywheel and clutch but the AVO 3. 1 supercharged engine is all stripped down ready for inspection by new owner and has a Holly carb and bug catcher.   The supercharger for the engine was bought about 20 years ago and has sat on the shelf ever since apart from when I put 3 litre in to mock up and when it sat on top of the engine when the bonnet was being cut out it looked really mean and almost in line with the roof.

I have to dig out the log book but if my memory serves me correctly I believe that she is a very rare 1. 3 shell originally in orange.   The X-Pack conversion was carried out by a Ford Dealership back in the day.

PLEASE NOTE: the Cosworth whale tail that is present in some of the photos was SOLD some time ago.   The photos shown are old. I haven't had the chance to take recent pictures but I will be doing so and will post these when I have them.   In the meantime you are welcome to come down and see her for yourself.

I did start to do some work on her when I removed the whale tail. preparing to respray her again but I haven't got round to finishing this.

As I have said. I have to dig the log book out but I am actively looking for this. I also have the paperwork for the supercharger somewhere. it may take some time for me to find these items but I do possess them.   I'm sure that I've missed items off this list I've owned the car so long I cant remember all the bits I have for her. if there's anything else you want to know please contact me. 07476 928078 Jay

I WILL NOT SPLIT ANY OF THESE ITEMS. THEY ARE A JOB LOT AND WILL GO TOGETHER

MAKE ME A REASONABLE OFFER AND I WILL CONSIDER IT!  MAY PX OF SWAP SOMETHING INTERESTING W. H. Y. THANKS
