Listed here is my Beck 550 Spyder. The body has been reshaped to look more accurate to an original Porsche 550 Spyder. by reshaping the nose. lower front fenders. rear quarter panel tops. lower section. wheel openings. license plate area and tail lamps. the car has a more accurate shape. The hand made alloy louvered carb access doors were left bare metal as was the removable passenger side cockpit tonneau cover. The body was finished in Spies Hecker polyurethane base coat/ clear coat with a matted clear for a patina. Then it was hand painted with the appropriate racing livery.

The interior is all hand shaped aluminum. fitted and riveted. The banjo steering wheel is wrapped in grip tape with an original and nicely aged 356 horn button. The gauge panel has the hammer finish and it has exposed shifter linkage.   The windshield is the cut down lexan version and also includes the taller speedster style one as well that can be swapped out if you like the taller version.

The engine is a beautifully running and tuned CB Performance VW 2110. It makes 130 HP and its reall fast and fun to drive. it has Weber carbs. MSD ignition. coil and distributor. wires. It runs really well and sounds amazing. This engine set four land speed records at the ECTA Ohio mile while it was borrowed for my 1957 Porsche 356 coupe last year.

The brakes are four wheel disc with wide five wheels and drum skins for the drum brake look.

This car is very convincing as an old race car. Most people see it and run over in amazement asking about its racing history. then are entertained by the fact that its a recent build.

Its titled as a 1955 Porsche 550
