1965 460 BIG BLOCK COBRA

This 500+ Horsepower car is the king of Cobras!!
You cant imagine the pull this car has. I can spin the tires on the freeway at will !!
This is far from the average kit car. read on. If you have any questions. Ill be happy to answer them.

The 460 is essentially a stroked 429.
Bored 30 over. blue printed and balanced.
Fitted with  FORD RACING'S Aluminum heads. (Capable of twice the HP !!) Edelbrock manifold.
850cc Double pumper Holley carb. 50cc accelerator pumps. primary and secondary.
Carb has literally been ported and smoothed. New power valves. needles. seat assemblies and gaskets.

TRANSMISSION; Tremec 5 speed
Just installed new Carbon Fiber Blocking Rings/Syncros. 2nd-3rd-4th
It shifts smooth and grabs now. RIGHT NOW.
Installed new seals. bearings are fine.

CLUTCH;
New Mcloed 2400# Pro Street pressure plate and dual friction clutch. Angular Contact Throwout Bearing

DIFFERENTIAL;
Just installed  new FORD RACING 3. 27 ring and pinion. All new bearings and seals.
Detroit TruTrac differential/carrier. This car absolutely launches out of corners.
Dutchman axles made new for this car. Topped with a rear support cover.

BRAKES;
Cobra 13" Disk Front and 11" Disk Rear. Lokar emergency brake re-located to the left of driver seat on floor actuated with new Lokar cables.
These are power brakes and they work great. Auxiliary vacuum pump located in trunk.

SUSPENSION;
Coil over shocks on all 4 corners. 3 Link set up with panhard bar keeps car planted and straight.
Front has new Upper and Lower tubular control arms. Assembled with all new bushings nothing used.

INTERIOR;
All custom work done by a professional upholstery shop. The transmission tunnel was redesigned using 12 gauge 6061 and tig welded together.
Covered in black vinyl (UV WISE). Carpet is Porsche black.
SEATS>> Now this is really special; These are FERRARI seats!! They came from a 1986 328 GTS (Magnum PI)
 Installed with adjustable tracks and hand stitched  in the finest leather available!! They fit straight and really hold you in. The trunk is also carpeted.

EXHAUST;
Ceramic Coated 4 into 1 headers. The 4" side pipes were custom made for this car. Inside are spirals NOT GLASS-PACKS
Sounds unbelievable!!!

COOLING; Is provided by an all aluminum. over sized HOWE radiator. There are two thermostatically controlled fans

PAINT;
We used a high solids PPG and several coats of clear. Admittedly it looked better before it hit the road. There are a few nicks and scratches here and there.
No big deal for a shop to touch up or someone who has those skills.

SUMMARY; This car is a blast. 90% of the project was done using new parts. If I left out something. Ill update this when it comes to me. If there are any ?s don't hesitate to ask.
By the way>> This is a California car and its SMOG EXEMPT!!!!
