Right the time has come and I have decided that my mk2 escort is definitely up for sale at a very reasonable price based on the spec and build quality of this escort. The car has just had a 3 hour photo shoot and will have a full spread in classic ford magazine in the next few months 


It's a genuine Mexico first registered 27/7/ 77 
4 previous owners last one had it 18 years. nbsp;
Log book. tags present with gcat nos etc.  
The shell has covered a genuine 52k. We have only got a couple of previous MOTs to prove as the old boy who had it before me passed away and his wife couldn't find the rest of the history but it only covered something like 50 miles between MOTs that I have certificates for. Also have the original sales advert 

The shell is first class. original floors. sills etc. it has had new genuine wings. front panel and 1 new genuine door and 1 genuine ford door skin on the other. it has had the full Retro motorsport works which include: 
Gartrac roll cage linked to all suspension 
Gartrac rear tubs 
Gartrac Boreham spec rear arches. Rally Colin McRae front arches 
Bulkhead moved back a bit for better engine location

It has a Tilton floor mounted pedal box with short AP cylinders. a Matt Downer custom power steering column with quick release boss and dished steering wheel 
Willwood bias valve and cossy rear brakes. all plumbed in. It also comes with AP Racing front calipers and discs on Gartrac bells and custom fabricated brackets for calipers 
Bilstein coil-overs with adjustable top mounts and a full Gartrac tension strut kit with antiroll bar.  

Rear wheels 10. 5x15 Schmidt TH Lines Gold Centres 
Front wheels 9. 5x15 Schmidt TH Lines Gold Centres 
Plastics 4 Performance Lexan windows. with sliders. plumbed-in extinguisher. shaped alloy fuel tank with built in swirl pot.

All original door locks. everything newly zinc plated ! Key operates all locks even have the original Ford 

In the engine bay it has custom-made tank for brake fluid and breather. it also has a custom made radiator with Spal fan and high pressure cap. and a custom made breather tank.  
Atlas axle with ZF Motorsport spec slipper with large side gears and Quaife 2 piece shafts 4. 6 CWP all built by Gartrac.  
It also has a custom-made 2. 5-inch twin box exhaust that was made to fit the exhaust tunnel
