I'm listing this car for a friend. please use contact details below for any questions as I won't be able to answer for him.


Imported with 2 previous owners in 2009. V5 present.


Engine

Original 351 Cleveland V8 5752cc. replaced timing chain and sprockets 2k miles ago. several regular fluid changes. krypton tuned so easy pass through MOT with emissions. replaced muffler.


Transmission

Original FMX 3 speed (On the tree) transmission. pan removed cleaned new fluid and filter. drives smooth transmission shifts great.

 

Mechanical 

Front and rear suspension rebuild. bushes. shocks. ball joints. power steering pump replaced. steering box rebuild. full brake rebuild. new brake master cylinder. new flexible hoses all round. pads in front. cylinders. shoes. springs etc on rear.

 

Wheels

Ansen American Racing wheels slotted mags fitted with General Grabbers rubber 235/70-15 rear. 225/70-15 front.

 

Exterior

All original panels. no welding. Resprayed in 2011 with Starsky and Hutch theme paintwork in 2 pack paint colour Ford 2B Bright Red.  


Interior

Front bench seat recovered and a new headliner fitted. new carpet fitted.

This car is a daily driver. it's not show quality but a good honest representation of a 40 year old iconic classic.

 

Some paint blisters on rear quarters and panel below the rear screen as seen on photos where the old trim fitted when it had a vinyl roof but not bad.

Front bumper has a graze from the states owners and some pitting front and rear bumper.

Front grill chrome has a dink again from the states owner not bad.

Door cards have a few damaged areas due to age as photo's not bad for 40 years old.

Slight water leak appeared in boot area possible due to heavy rain recently I can't see where it's coming in at the moment.

 

Load's of receipts. from import until date. copy of original title etc.


This car is a head turner you will have great fun and will be asked for lots of photos. new project forces sale. Loads of pictures available from original state through to paint and mechanics.
