The FJ-40 series of Toyota Land Cruisers came to an end with the 1984 FJ-70 model release. but not before some unique examples had been imported from the manufacturer into the Americas.  This medium-wheelbase four-wheel-drive 1982 FJ-43 would be on that list as one of the rarer examples. First launched in 1960. these versatile off-road vehicles have gained a steady following in following decades. nbsp;with examples unvarnished by over-use finding status in today's collectors market. The medium-length wheelbase versions are considered harder to find than the shorter FJ-40 or longer FJ-45 series model.

Previous 2 Owners of the Military of Colombia. the Red exterior paint is accented by a New OEM Tan canvas soft top and Gray interior. all period correct to this FJ.  It is powered by Toyota's 4. 2L inline-6 cylinder 2F engine. a carburated example that is original to this vehicle with matching numbers; behind this is a 4-speed manual transmission coupled to factory differentials through a 2-speed transfer case.
