1966 Fastback Mustang Restoration Completed 07 2016 in QLD for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.25) based on 129 votes

I purchased this 1966 Fastback Mustang from a local importer here in Australia in 2010. It was an exciting candidate for a restoration. It came with the tuff 351 Windsor engine and the 4 speed manual gearbox that is in the car now. This car is a rust free car! There were only 2 small rust bubbles found during the restoration of this car and that was in the bottom of the doors.

I started restoring the car in 2012 and disassembled the parts from the body and had it taken back to bare metal. The car was put on a rotisserie. The panel beating work and painting has taken  4 years to complete. Every nut and bolt and car part on this car has been replaced with new or restored. The standard of the body and paint work on the car is very high.

The car was only reassembled and completed in 07/2016.

Although I already know that this is the one car I will regret selling. I have decided to sell my Mustang now while it is in pristine condition and not later as it will never be in this condition again. If my circumstances were different I would never sell this car!

Some brief car details. I will show a more detailed itemization of car parts as there is simply to many to list in an add.

- Left hand drive

The colour of the car is an amazing metallic green. that can appear black in certain light.

- The undercarriage of the car has also been restored.

- 351 Windsor engine - Erson Roller Rockers - Mild cam - 670 Avenger Holly carbirator - Mallory distributor  and ignition coil - External oil Filter and cooler - Battery located in the boot - electric fuel pump in the boot - a 24' Mustang radiator and a 16' Spal thermo fan.

- 4 speed manual gearbox with a Hurst shifter.

- New body parts - guards - boot lid and end caps - filler cap panel - rear valance - stone tray.

(I replaced these panels with new as the guards and boot had been modified and it works out cheaper to replace sometimes)

- Reconditioned front disc brakes - new Dual Master cylinder - new brake lines - reco 8 1/4 diff.

- All new inner tie rods - idler arms and bush - upper lower control arms.

- New interior and restored interior panels - New seat belts (Front retractable) .

- Mallory gauges.

- New fuel tank - sender unit -  fuel lines.

- New US Mag wheels and New Yokohama tyres - 225/60R15 and 255/50R15

I am waiting for an interior fold out seat panel. This will be installed in the car and will be included in my asking price.

I have all the receipts for the car. The purchase receipt. and all the build receipts. The import approval document. The car has the modification plate showing in the engine bay.

Please note: The car is sold as is. and where is. No warranties are given or implied. I will answer all enquiries and work for a smooth and open sale of my car to you.

The car is on full Qld registration. I have the bill of sale and import approval forms. There is a mod plate in the engine bay.

This is an amazing car to see and the car performs as well it sounds.
