1982 PORSCHE 924 TURBO S2 IN EXCEPTIONAL TURN KEY CONDITION - ONE OF THE BEST!

The Porsche 924 Turbo S2 produces 177BHP with a CD of 0. 35 giving a top speed of 142 MPH and 0-60 time of 6. 9 secs. performance figures very close to that of the 911 SC. The dogleg gearbox uses 911SC internals and 911 vented disc brakes feature on the front with 928 discs at the rear.

The first of just four owners bought this Porsche from AFN Porsche. Middlesex. in May 1982 and ordered it in Alpine White over Gaboon Grey. with brown/grey Berber trim and the optional extra of a removable sunroof. The last registered owner purchased the car from a Porsche specialist in 1989 for £9. 45 with 66. 00 warranted miles on the clock and FSH (advert on file). He maintained the car fastidiously until 2000 when was taken off the road at 91. 00 miles and put in dry storage for 13 years.

In 2013 the car underwent extensive recomissioning which included the following:

Complete overhaul of the injection system including replacement of all seals and gaskets. flow check of injectors. repair to metering head. new fuel pump

New cam belt. water pump and tensioner

4 new Continental Contact tyres

New battery

New front and rear brake pads

New front and rear brake discs

New plugs. ht leads. cap & rotor

New oil and oil filter  and air filter

New stainless steel rear silencer

Cost of the above work totaled just under £4000. Car has only covered approximately 300 miles since.

Gear box overhaul and handbrake shoes @ 72. 00 miles

Cylinder head overhaul. turbo recon. new clutch @ 49. 00 miles

In 1992 a minor accident resulted in the fastidious owner insisting that the car was repaired by Porsche agents Evans Halshaw to ensure that the fully galvanised body was correctly repaired and a certificate by Porsche issued (all on file)

To sum up this is an extremely collectible Porsche that is one of the best available with low ownership and mileage. excellent service history. and looks and drives as a fine. original. example should. The last owner has absorbed the big bills leaving the new owner with a turn-key example wanting for nothing

Exuding originality. this 924 Turbo has a substantial service history folder and the 24 service stamps (plus 13 old MOT certificates and 18 tax discs) endorse the still-low mileage of 92. 00 miles. The car comes complete with its Porsche Driver's Manual and Maintenance Record. a workshop manual. untouched jack and space-saver tyre. all the aforementioned bills and documentation and is a matching numbers example of what is a very rare car (just 61 still on the road in the UK with a further 171 on SORN according to DVLA figures).
