1991 MERCEDES 420 SEC S-Class Coupe

This is my wonderful & rare Mercedes W126 pillarless coupe 420 SEC from 1991 (the last year of production) in Mercedes Signal Red code 568 (note my photos seem to have trouble accurately recreating this super classic Mercedes colour) . The car is very well equipped with many modern luxuries. including Air Conditioning (works perfectly due to new compressor & complete service by A/C specialist). electric adjustable front seats & head rests. Power Steering and power windows on all four windows. electric aerial & electric sunroof. heated mirrors & heated seats. I have invested multiple thousands of pounds on restoring this car to a fabulous condition. This was performed by the wonderful Mercedes specialist TM Motors in West Molesey. Surrey. The car was in very good condition when I bought her. but my Virgo based passion for wanting the best just carried me forward to improve her. no matter what the cost. This has included: New shiny red paint. New rear window (all SEC will require this at some time). This one is now done and any signs of rust under window repaired by professional car restoration paint shop. New front windscreen (only because of slight scratches from wiper blades visible at night). New full Mercedes OEM Exhaust system (very expensive indeed) New A/C compressor & full A/C service. New Radiator. New Rear springs & shock absorbers. Expensive fully retorted original MB alloy wheels (blasted down & re-painted better than new). New full set of Pirelli tyres. New electric aerial mast. The car is completely RUST FREE. Rust free includes the inside bottom of each door. Find another one without rust here. I have seen rust on SEC door bottoms on the lowest mileage so called mint cars. This car is rust free! The radio has been replaced by me with a truly superb Pioneer GPS Satellite Navigation unit with Hands-Free Bluetooth with fitted microphone (phone calls go through the hi-fi speakers). This plays CD's & DVDs on a 16:9 ratio electric flip-out screen (or can be used with the screen retracted & looks like a normal radio). This system with GPS module cost over £1. 00 alone. The 420 SEC is super-smooth to drive with lovely suspension. while retaining good handling. Seats are very comfortable. This 420 V8 engine is the smoothest. newest and most economical engine available on the SEC. So. you can drive and enjoy without using stupid amounts of petrol. I have averaged 24 MPG in summer with A/C on. or sunroof. or windows open. A real dream car in this stunning colour combo. Values can only go up. as they have done over the last few years. This beautiful example is not to be confused with the many underfunded & neglected cheap rubbish examples. There is nothing as expensive (in the long run) as a cheap Mercedes. I am now almost finished restoring my red 1978 450SL. which has cost more than three times initial estimate. so my wife has suggested that one classic Mercedes should really go. So. a very reluctant sale. Sensible offers invited. as I remain flexible on price. but please remember if you really want a cheap SEC. they are more readily available than good. or restored ones and from my SEC experience (this is my second).
